Summer Told Me It Was Your Loneliness

The 'I need you' and the sweet sentiments bottled in lines and meters that you
usually sent at 2 in the morning
cannot move me anymore -
not anymore.

I have realized that those are venomous - those sweet talks are not
really sweet -
not at all.

In my cold summer nights, and between
the poetry I scribbled for you -
between my forenoon
vulnerability - you
were not there.

summer forenoon taught me one thing; 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞, 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 - 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
