Up and Down love

Part 20

Ag:

"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN IN KENTUCKY?!"

I got up so fast I thought my heart was going to stop. Who was yelling?!

I realized that Anna was on the phone pacing back and forth. "Right your parents have a house in like every state..."

I couldn't hear who was speaking, but I had a good guess.

"Why did you even call me?!"

The voice was to low to hear.

"You are such a bitch!" She paused, "I'm telling you if you ever come back around here I will knock your ass back to Michigan so fast!"

The other person got louder, but still not loud enough to hear.

"You just wish you had what I have! Since we were in 3rd grade you have been like this. Couldn't even get on a swing without you saying how it was yours first! So again back off and leave me alone!"

Anna:

First, the whole court thing, and now Sarah is suddenly up my ass about MY relationship. Life seems so up and down...

I noticed Ag looking at me as I put my phone back in the charger. "Sorry, Sarah just had some words she wanted to share."

She nodded her head and opened her mouth to speak, but I cut her off. "I saw a soccer field not that far from here. So I think I'm just gonna go out for a little. Let myself cool off."

Ag rolled her eyes and lay back down. "Alright."

That was it. I grabbed my bag and was out the door. I brought my ball anywhere. Even if I was on "vacation" I still had to train. 

When I got to the field there was nobody there, but a guy with jet black hair. I watched as he made it in the net, one after another, and another, and another... Damn, he was pretty good. 

He saw me looking and waved. I gave him a slight smile and went over to the bench to get my cleats on. 

Like every field, there were two goals and him and I each had our own. I set the ball in different places and scored almost every time. 

After a couple of kicks, I went over to the bench to get a water break. As the minutes went by I felt myself release all the toxic feelings and thoughts. 

I am so hard on Ag for no reason and as if she would ever cheat on me. The number of times she has shown me that she will never leave and I just push it all away. Especially in this time when she tends to be at her lowest...

I was cut off when I realized the guy with jet black hair was walking my way. My nerves became shot... What was going on?!

"Hey." He said in a low smooth voice. His smile was so big and bright."

"Um, hi."

He put his hand through his hair and I watched as it didn't even get caught. Way to smooth. 

"I saw you taking some crazy shots over here. You play soccer?"

"Yeah, hoping to play in college. How bout you?"

"Same here! I'm hoping for more out of state opportunities though. Parents want me to stay close, but I need to get away."

I gave a little laugh, "I feel ya on that one."

He smiled once again, "So my name is Ethan and you are?"

"Oh yeah sorry! Anna. I'm Anna...Uh yeah."

What was I doing?! Stop it Anna, stop! 

"Well, Anna I was thinking we could play some one on one? This goal isn't much of a competition."

Do I or do I go back home to Ag? She's probably still pissed anyway...

"Yeah, why not?!"

It was probably a solid hour of him scoring and then I would score.

I scored on him again and again until he called quits. "Okay so okay I'm going to have to call this one. You're kicking my ass!"

"Never underestimate a girl bud!" I punched him in the arm.

"Cute and witty. I like that."

His eyes came deep into my soul. "I...I got to go. They're probably waiting for me at the house."

"Okay, I'll let ya go. Same time tomorrow maybe?"

"We will just have to see..."

I grabbed my stuff and waved goodbye. Shit! 

When I got up to Ag's room I couldn't hear a thing. I try my best to be quiet and snuck over to the shower.

The shower felt amazing! I got some better-smelling clothes on and went to get my perfume from my bag. I looked over and Ag was just laying there, but I said nothing.

"How was playing with soccer boy."

I stopped in my tracks.

"Good, apparently he goes to school around here. Plays varsity soccer..."

"Hmm, he seemed pretty good."

"Yeah. He knows how to control the ball well."

"He also seemed pretty interested in you. He's cute isn't he?"

I put my hands on my hips. "If you were at the field why didn't you come over?"

"I tried to get your attention, but you were so focused on him!"

"WHAT IS YOUR ISSUE AG?!"

"I don't care what you do, but you were flirting with him! Weren't you?!"

"Ag we can't keep doing this..."

"Weren't you Anna?! Don't fuc*kin do this to me! Please!"

She started to cry, the tears streamed down her face. I ran and swung my arms around her. 

"Get off me, Anna! GET OFF!" She tried harder, but I refused. "get off..."

I felt her arms wrap around me and we stayed like that for a while. In each other's arms and nothing said...

What have I done to her...

Ag seems more emotional lately? Heartbroken too many times maybe? Something else we don't know?
