Chapter 11 - The Aftermath

Chapter 11:

Narrator P.O.V:

It's been 2 days since the battle and Ichigo is still unconscious. Rukia has been beside him ever since. She has been worried about him and so have been the kids. Rukia has barley slept at all. Byakuya would drop by from time to time to check on them because even though he hates to admit it he just wishes that Ichigo wakes up as soon as possible

Rukia: Ichigo please wake up please don't leave me

Rukia P.O.V:

I sat there next to Ichigo as I held his hand. How could Ichigo be so reckless does he know how much I worry for him. As I sat there Ichigo's hand suddenly gripped mine. My eyes shot open despite my fatigue. I looked at Ichigo as his eyes fluttered open. His eyes immediately met mine.

Ichigo: Rukia what happened

I didn't know what to say. Part of my wanted to punch him and part of me wanted to jump into his arms

Ichigo: Rukia are you alright? He said sitting up

I instinctively jumped into his arms and started crying as I could not keep it in anymore

Ichigo P.O.V:

Rukia suddenly jumped into my arms and started crying. Despite how much my body still hurt I returned the embrace. I assumed I was out for a bit and Rukia was constantly worrying and staying by me

Ichigo: I must have worried you haven't I, I'm sorry. I said in a soft voice

Rukia: You idiot. Why do you keeping on doing dangerous and reckless things do you know how much you scare me or worry me

I pulled back Rukia was looking down not meeting my eyes

Ichigo: Rukia look at me

Rukia lifted her head and met my eyes

Ichigo: The reason why I do these things is because I want to protect you no matter what because I love you Rukia

Rukia: Just because you do those things to protect me doesn't mean that I won't worry I don't want to lose you which is why I will also promise to protect you because I don't want you shouldering all of the burden alone

I put my hand on top of her head and brought her close. I started to gently caress her hair

Ichigo: Where is Kazui and Ichika?

Rukia: They are staying at Ni-samas place

Ichigo: Well then we should get going

Rukia: Are you sure? You haven't fully healed yet

Ichigo: I'll be fine honestly Rukia you worry too much. I said while standing up

Rukia: If you don't do things that make me worry then maybe I wouldn't worry so much. She protested

We left and quickly arrived at Byakuya's place. We knocked and we greeted by none other than Byakuya

Byakuya: Kurosaki I'm glad to see that you woke up but shouldn't you still be resting. Byakuya said in this usual cold tone

Ichigo: I'm fine anyways where are the kids?

Byakuya: There inside come on in

I walked inside and I saw both Kazui and Ichika

Kazui, Ichika: Daddy!! They yelled running towards me crying and jumping into my arms

Ichigo: You guys must have been worried about me I'm sorry

We all settled down after a while. The kids went to sleep since they've barely gotten any the past 2 days

Ichigo: Byakuya I need to ask you a question

Byakuya: What is it?

Ichigo: What was Aizen talking about with the corruption among the nobel clans and about about that made him want to reform Soul Society

I waited for an answer. Byakuya continued to stare at me with his usual cold stare. Then he drew Senbonzakura and held it against my throat

Rukia: Ni-sama what are you doing! She yelled standing up

Byakuya: Kurosaki what difference does it make to you whether or not I tell you. Are you sympathizing with Aizen do you agree with what he has done?

Ichigo: I never said that I just wanted to know why he did what he did and also I want to why the Shiba clan left the whole nobel clan situation!!

Byakuya brought Senbonzakura closer to my throat and started pressing against it. Blood trickled down my neck but I did not dare move because I am not leaving here without an answer

Rukia: Ni-sama I don't know why you are doing this but I cannot just stand here while you are hurt my husband which is why I suggest that you take your Zanpukto away from his throat before I have to take action. Rukia said drawing Sode No Shirayuki and pointing it at Byakuya

Byakuya: Tch. If you want to know so bad I'll tell you but what is said here does not leave here got that. He said sheathing Senbonzakura

Ichigo: Yeah I understand. I said mentally letting out a huge sigh of relief. I really thought I was about to die I'm so glad Rukia is my wife

Byakuya: First we have to start off with the origins of Soul Society
