Chapter 25 - Futile Struggle(Second Ending)

A few days

Ichigo P.O.V:

The day has finally come. The day where we are going to put down the 8 kenpachi for good. We woke up bright and early so we could there as soon as possible

We were all standing in front of Byakuya's house ready to say our goodbyes

Ichigo: Kazui, Ichika don't make that face or else it will be harder for me to leave. I said kneeling down patting both of their heads

Kazui: But daddy I don't want you to go. I want you to stay here. He said I'm a crying voice while tackling me

Ichika: Please daddy stay with us. I don't want to be without you. She cried following suit. I said softly

Ichigo: Listen I love you but daddy's got to take care of some things and I will be back.

Ichika, Kazui: You promise

Ichigo: I promise

I pulled away and there were tears still running down their face's

Ichigo: How about this while I'm gone hold on to this for me alright. I said while putting my wedding ring in Kazui's hand

Kazui: I will

Ichigo: Good. Don't forget I'll be coming back to collect it so keep it safe. I said before kissing both of their foreheads

I stood up and walked towards Rukia. She was looking at the ground. I could tell she didn't like the idea of me leaving. I put my hand under Rukia's chin and met her face with mine

Rukia: Be safe

Ichigo: I will. I said before pulling her in for a quick kiss

Byakuya: Ichigo, Toshiro let's get going

Ichigo: Hai

I turned around but stopped when I felt something tugging my hiyori. I turned around and found Rukia, Kazui and Ichika holding on to it

Rukia: I love you Ichigo. Please come back safe

Ichigo: I love you too. I replied before flashstepping away

Toshiro: You ready Kurosaki?

Ichigo: Yeah. I am. With that we headed towards the soul palace

10 hours later

Ichigo: Here we are

Toshiro: Let's just get this over with. He said coldly

Ichigo: Looks like someone is missing Karin. I said teasingly

Toshiro: H-hey Kurosaki y-you better watch what you say!!!!

Ichigo: What's there nothing wrong with it so why are you so embarrassed

Byakuya: Would you guys stop talking and let's get this over with. He said coldly

We walked into the soul palace and saw the 8th kenpachi already there. We immediately drew our Zanpukto's and got ready for battle. But I looked around and found the other captains already knocked down. Did we show up so late?

Soya: Looks like the last of them has finally arrived. He said in a menacing tone

Ichigo: Hey what did you do here? I shouted

Soya: Nothing much I just took down these weak captains and absorbed their Zanpukto before you arrived

Toshiro: Kurosaki didn't I tell you to take my shortcut but you were like no I know the way. He said annoyed
