Chapter 17 - Beach Special

Chapter 17

Several days later

Ichigo P.O.V:

I woke up today with a smile on my face. Why? Well we're all going to the beach today. Kyoraku decided that we are all due for a short vacation and invited us to all go to the beach. I looked at the time and it was 9. Looks like we have 2 hours to get ready

Ichigo: Rukia. Wake up Rukia. I whispered in her ear

Rukia groaned and her eyes fluttered open immediately meeting mine and she smiled

Rukia: Good morning Ichigo

Ichigo: Good morning Rukia. I said before leaning towards her and giving her a quick kiss

Ichigo: We have 2 hours to get ready I'll go wake up kids

Rukia: Ok

With that we had our breakfast and headed out to the beach were we saw the rest of the captains already there. Today was perfect weather for going to the beach. It was the middle of summer and it was going to be sunny today

Ichigo: Where's Toshiro? I asked realizing that he was not with the captains

Shinji: He's in there. He said he cannot stand the heat. He said pointing to the shed

Ichigo: I'll go check on him

I walked over to the shed to find Toshiro sitting against the wall with his usual scowl on his face

Ichigo: Oi Toshiro what are doing in here

Toshiro: I can't stand the heat so don't bother with me. He said sounding annoyed

Ichigo: Comon it's not that hot you're supposed to be a captain and a captain is supposed to endure anything. I said while grabbing his arm trying to drag him outside

Rangiku: Yeah Hitsugaya Tancho get outside there is a lot to do and I promise you that you will get bored if you just sit there. She said pleadingly

Toshiro: Fine! Here happy! He said walking outside

Kyoraku: Well then let's have some fun

We spent the entire day playing volleyball and swimming in the ocean. I even taught Kazui how to swim. We were all having fun. Then when night fell we started a bonfire to cock some smores and to unwind

Toshiro: Kurosaki have you been to the world of the living recently?

I was surprised by his question. Why did he ask that? What could he possibly want?

Ichigo: Yeah why?

Toshiro: Is Karin alright?

Ichigo: Yeah she is. Wait why are asking how my sister is?

Toshiro: Nothing is just I wanted to know

Ichigo: No no no no. There has to be a reason and you better tell me

Byakuya: Kurosaki I'd prefer if you didn't start an argument at this time. Byakuya said coldly

Ichigo: Fine. I mumbled

Kazui: Daddy

Ichigo: Yea Kazui. I said looking at him

Kazui: I was wondering is it really true that you learned bankai in 2 days? He asked his voice filled with curiousity

Ichigo: That is true. I learned bankai so I could Rukia and also fight Byakuya

Ichika: From what I heard Daddy won. She said in a cheerful tone

Byakuya: He didn't exactly win I just let him win plus if his hollow did not interfere then I could have easily won

Ichigo: Well sorry I couldn't control my hollow at time and plus you know damn well you lost fair and square. I said with my voice filled with slight sarcasm

Byakuya: Do you really think that you had a chance against me? At that time you were a mere Shinigami Daiko. How could you possibly compete with a captain. He said slightly raising his voice

Ichigo: But the thing is I did

Rukia: Ni-sama there is no point in arguing it was obvious that Ichigo won against as a matter of fact Ichigo told me you yourself said I have lost

Byakuya: Rukia don't get involved

Soi Fon: Can you guys please not start a stupid argument at a time like this

Ichigo: He started it. I mumbled

Shortly after that we packed up everything and headed home. On the way there I wondered why was Toshiro so concerned about Karin? There must be something going on and I will find out about.

By the time we got home it was obvious that everyone was tired. So I kissed the kids and Rukia goodnight and quickly fell asleep

How was this chapter. Sorry it felt rushed but I really did not know how to write it. Also this fanfic will probably be about 24 chapters long. Lastly don't forget to vote and please leave your review and I promise the next chapter will be good one
