A single solar light illuminated the outdoor swimming pool area.
"It's freezing here." Olivia said, rubbing her hands together.
"Remind me never to follow Naxi's suggestions in future." Natasha crunched her face.
"I have grown immune to the catastrophes Naxi Banerjee's whims can cause." Mia joined the Naxi-bashing-bandwagon.
"We will be thanking this cold, once Mandy's rum gets us sweating." Junaid chuckled.
"Why don't we light a fire?" Danish came to my rescue.
"Brilliant idea," Olivia clapped her hands."Let's gather logs and twigs and raise the temperature a little bit."
It took us some time to collect enough wood for a small campfire. I handed over my lighter so that Avinash could light up the fire.
"You are sure its rum, not whiskey?" Danish asked once we settled down encircling the campfire.
"He happens to be my roommate," Junaid said smugly, "I know all about his stock and stash."
Soon Mandy and Zoro joined us with the booze.
"The Monk is here." Mandy said cheerfully as he settled himself down between Olivia and Natasha.
"Right you were Naid." Avinash clapped Junaid who was sitting right next to him, on the back.
Junaid mumble a quick thank you. Even though Mandy had got accustomed to Avinash's cordial approach, Junaid was more shy, and being complemented by a revered senior was bound to make him blush. I snuggled in Avinash's arms, while Brute laid on his other side with his head on Avinash's lap.
"Why don't we spice it up a little bit today?" Mia said with an evil grin.
"What do you have in mind?" Mandy asked curiously.
"How about truth and dare?" She said excitedly.
"Absolutely not."
"No way."
"I want to enjoy my drink peacefully. "
Each of our friends started protesting, leaving Mia dejected.
"How about 'Never have I ever'?" Mia asked a little hopefully.
"That sounds better." Olivia chirped.
"I am in." Mandy said raising his hands.
Thus began our game of 'Never have I ever'. Mandy and Avinash mixed the old monk with coke and passed each of us a paper cup.
The rules of the game were simple. One of us would confess the thing he or she had never done. If any of the rest of us had done it, they were to take a sip of their drink.
"Never have I ever, kissed a girl." Olivia started grinning broadly.
"That is mean." Mandy pouted, taking a sip. All the boys except Junaid took a sip.
"You are horrible Olivia." Mia scowled taking a sip of her rum and coke too.
"My turn," Danish said excitedly. "Never have I ever peed in the open."
"You two make the most sadistic couple." Zorovar who was sitting next to him, slapped Danish on the back of his head, before taking a sip.
"I was probably seven, but still I think it counts." Olivia took a swig of her drink, sportingly.
"I should finish this drink off already." Mandy grimaced. Except for Natasha me and Junaid, all of them drank.
"Never have I ever tried to kill anyone." Zorovar said confidently.
