Avinash's P.O.V

The hotel reception gave me her room number. I took the elevator hitting her floor's button with much more force than I normally would have.

"Avi!" Natasha answered my pounding on her door. Olivia Mia and Fatima were there too. But my eyes found the one who had turned my life into a living hell.

"Can I speak to her alone?" I tried to keep the edge off my voice.

"Yes sure." Natasha mumbled. "We were leaving for lunch anyway."

I stepped in and waited for them to leave.

"Avinash I am sorry. I didn't know he was..." she started. Wow! She was sorry. She thought that one word would redeem all the wrongs she had committed.

"You are sorry?" My anger spilled out "Meenakshi you broke my trust once, when you lied about Vrinda's phone call. I was trying to deal with it, trying to forgive you..." My legs involuntarily moved closer to her.

"But you love to hurt me don't you? You love to break me don't you? You love to turn me into this wrecked mess? ANSWER ME." I felt each muscle in my body swelling, from the rage "YOU ENJOY WATCHING ME TURN INTO THIS FUCKING MONSTER."

When I was expressing my faith that Dad was going to be okay, she sat in that car bloody well aware that he was dead, yet fueled my hope of seeing him alive. She knew he was never going to be okay, yet she made me believe he was going to be okay.

If that betrayal was not enough, she had the audacity to entertain that disgusting scumbag, and allow him to put those sick lips on her hand, that too infront of my family and me.

"How did it feel flirting with my ex-brother-in-law, at my father's condolence meet? ANSWER ME YOU BITCH? YOU MUST HAVE BEEN SO EXCITED WHEN THAT SCUMBAG KISSED YOU ON YOUR HAND?" Her eyes widened with shock at my words.

"How could you say that Avinash?" I could sense irritation in her voice "Why do you always blow things out of proportions?" She shouldn't have said that. My anger clouded every other emotion that existed before that moment as I moved closer and towered over her.

"I BLOW THINGS OUT OF PROPORTION?" I roared, "You had been so smitten by that scumbag, you didn't notice everyone staring at the two of you? What did that mother fucker tell you? How beautiful you are? How he thought he had met you before? I know him. I had seen him do that to women. Trying to play that timid and innocent asshole."

That is how he had fooled Vrinda, only to destroy her life. I knew Viren Sen and the tricks he played, pretending to be helpless and shy, while he allowed his prey to take that bait. Naxi was another prey for him. He wanted to get back to me for the scars I had left on his back and shoulder, by taking Naxi away from me.

"He didn't say any such thing." The pool of tears finally flowed down from her eyes. A part of me wanted to hold her in my arms, but the words that rolled out of those plump lips only intensified the already violent temper that was coursing through my veins.

"He told me the truth about you. How unstable and volatile you are, and I can see he was right. You never accept your own faults instead blame others. You are the reason your sister's marriage broke."
Her words cut off the last string of sanity I had left. She just pressed those buttons that were bound to turn me into the monster I tried to get rid of. Did she do this on purpose?

"What did you just say? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?" I grabbed her arms, driven to the very edge by her words "I BROKE MY SISTER'S MARRIAGE?"

She turned her face away from me, not having the guts to face me anymore. Viren Sen's story seemed more genuine to her than mine.
