I knew I shouldn't be feeling so overjoyed, yet my heart soared with happiness. No more would I have to console this wrecked heart, imagining the possibilities of your break up.
I had to work hard to keep my feelings a secret, not just from you, but from everyone else, specially from Avinash.
I wish Avinash hadn't come between us. Maybe then, you too would have realized that our bond wasn't merely platonic. But you were too busy allowing yourself to be dazzled by the charm of Avinash Chauhan.
How could I blame you? I myself hadn't realized that I was hopelessly falling in love with you, until the day I found out that Avinash too reciprocated your feelings.
Even in my wildest dreams, I couldn't have imagined Avinash getting into a relationship with you. Yet he did, and your love for him wasn't one sided anymore. It had been rewarded the perfect happy ending to a tumultuous journey of Pursuit.
I thought that was the end of my story. You and me would never be together. You were wrapped around his fingers, too blind to even notice me.
Though I put on a cheerful facade, my heart burned every time I saw you happily clinging to him. I was too late to realize that I was madly in love with you Meenakshi Banerjee.
I wish I had confessed my feelings to you earlier, may be you would have realized that I could be a better lover than Avinash Chauhan.
However, being the pathetic coward who was more worried about the opinion of others, scared not only of your rejection, but also the mess it would create, I could never confess. I didn't want to ruin the bonds of friendship I shared with you, by allowing my feelings to come between.
You are too precious, too delicate. Not everyone's cup of tea. I thought Avinash wouldn't be able to keep you happy. You would soon realize he wasn't the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with.
But to my utter disappointment Avinash managed to overcome every hurdle your relationship threw. He was too perfect.
Well, not anymore.
He gave up on you, even though I had expected you to give up on him. Nonetheless, now you are free from him. Now you will be finally able to see that I was the only one who had truly loved you.
Life has given me a second chance to win you, and I won't let anyone steal you this time. I am not going to back down, worrying about the opinions of other's.
Avinash Chauhan's chapter was over. It was time for our story to take off.
I love you Meenakshi, and I promise, soon you will know it too. The whole world will know it, that you are meant for me and only me.
