She wrapped her slender arms lovingly around him, a heart-melting smile on her bare lips. She reached up to kiss him happily, deepening the interaction as though it was second nature to her, receiving an enthusiastic and fervent response.
Billie crossed her arms, watching from afar with a sad smile over her lips as Katie and Chris molded in each other's embrace in a secluded corner of the skatepark. She would be lying if she said she didn't feel even the smallest of envy for the new couple at their happiness, bringing a shining light into her own hopeless love life.
The one guy she'd ever really loved, Billie had to leave behind for his own safety and the stress of a hundred, strange, not-really-ationships bore down on her. She would be alone forever.
"If you were a few years older, this would be a lot creepier than it already is." A confident Brit drawl sounded out from behind her, booted heels clacking against the floor with power and finesse.
Harper spotted the head of bright blonde hair from the corner of her eyes, huffing slightly now that she wasn't alone in blissful, quiet solitude. She watched as Rebekah's vision followed her own line of sight, curious as to what the clairvoyant was watching.
"I did that." Billie quipped with concealed pride, gesturing inconspicuously to Chris and Katie as the lovesick teen laughed heartily at his corny jokes.
Rebekah cocked her head with pursed lips, eyes on the couple with the woman beside her. "Congratulations. Would you like a medal, William?"
Billie snorted quietly with laughter at her wit, shaking her head slightly in humour, uncrossing her arms and pushing off of the oak she leaned against. Harper began to walk away from the park, leaving behind any conflicted feelings she had for the conversation with the blonde Original.
"What d'you want Bex?" Billie inquired bluntly as she strutted down the empty sidewalk, eyes set like a predator on a nearby hotdog stand. The blonde smiled slightly to herself at the nickname, matching the woman's steps confidently.
"Klaus is a raging brat and Stefan's acting... strange. Besides, you're nice." She complemented Billie with a frown in her brows, almost confusing herself with her words. Harper raised her eyebrows in surprise, glancing over to her companion with a sweet smile.
"Well... when you're forced to leave the only place you've ever really called home to chauffeur a psycho immortal around the country, you learn to see the bright side of the things." Billie smiled sarcastically, turning back her eyes when Rebekah chuckled knowingly at her words, a deep set dimple in her fair cheek.
Billie approached the vendor uninhibited, laying her forearms down on the metal counter as she locked eyes with the pimply brunette server, plastering a honey sweet smile over her lips as she ordered herself the fast food, turning questioningly to Rebekah, who contemplated the strange food for a moment, having never seen it before. She nodded with a kindered excitement in her electric blue eyes as she agreed, allowing Billie to buy her the greasy food.
She watched the blonde carefully as she took her first ever bite out of a hotdog, examining her expression and waiting patiently for a reaction. It took Rebekah a moment before the food burst lavish flavours onto her tongue, smiling approvingly to her new friend as she moved for another bite.
Rebekah startled slightly in her seat as her phone let out a nauseating buzz, sighing as she put down her food to look at the text. Billie frowned over at her from behind the bun in question and the blonde rolled her eyes as she read the message, standing decidedly and taking her lunch with her.
"What happened?" Billie asked her with a mouth half full, pushing up her sunglasses with the clean back of her hand.
The Original pocketed her phone, pushing her chair back into the table as she replied. "Nothing love, thank you for the dog... hotdog... whatever. I'll call you later." She abruptly turned around, leaving Billie with too many questions for her to fully enjoy her delicious hotdog.

Billie took a deep inhale off her joint, beginning to feel the smog coating her mind as the smoke seeped into her lungs. The fence dug into her thighs slightly, but Billie didn't mind, though the matter of how she would get down once she'd finished her stick had come to her, she didn't dwell on it long enough to worry.
She giggled quietly to herself. It was almost scary how easy it was to find weed pretty much everywhere she went. Billie liked to think she had a certain nose for it.
Not even half way through her joint, an off-white, brandless delivery van pulled up on the sidewalk ahead of her, the window to the driver's seat pulling down as it came to a screeching stop. Klaus poked his head out of the window, arm slinging over the frame casually.
Billie smiled over to the familiar face teasingly as she practically toppled off of her high perch, stumbling back to balance herself. "Fancy seeing you here." She greeted him playfully, glancing over at the empty passenger seat and his peculiar choice of vehicle while she took in a large breath of marijuana, holding in the drugged smoke and allowing it to haze her mind happily before she blew it out.
Klaus chuckled lightly in his deep baritone, shaking his head subtly. "Well, you're definitely not driving." Billie shrugged unapologetically as she rounded the front side of the pickup, pulling open the passenger side door and dropping onto the worn leather seat. "That would be wise." She agreed with a charming grin.
He fumbled with the manual with ease as Billie watched on in wonder, barely being able to drive an automatic, let alone a stick. She frowned as she glanced around her for a moment. They were missing a couple heads.
"Where's Bonnie and Clyde?" Billie asked him as she reached over Klaus, invading his personal space she rolled up his window for him, casting the hybrid a teasing grin as she plopped back into her own seat. Klaus let his sea green eyes fall on her as she set herself comfortably into her seat, smiling ever so slightly at her blatant lack of inhibitions.
Without answering her, he slid open the small window connected to the cargo box and Billie gave him a confused look as she turned around in her seat to look through. To her surprise, inside the poorly lit space, Stefan lay unconscious on the cool ground with his neck at an odd angle, Rebekah sitting over him, playing distractedly on her phone. The blonde glanced up as she noticed her eyes, smiling in greeting.
Billie puffed with squinted eyes, gesturing with her half-smoked joint incredulously around the back of the van. "This is what you call nothing." She looked to the Salvatore, trying her best to mask the worried expression itching at the corners of her face.
She caught sight of three glossy, brown coffins bordering the edges of the cargo area, but before she could further examine them, the window was promptly pulled shut by the driver. Billie startled a little, slowly falling back into her seat as she glanced warily to Klaus.
"What happened?" Billie asked after a moment, having taken another inhale of the drug to calm her nerves.
It took him a second to respond, eyes set on the road ahead of them with an indecipherable expression over his handsome face. "He asked the wrong questions." Klaus turned slowly to look her in the eyes. "I'd be careful to follow in his footsteps, love." The warning in his tone was covertly obvious and Billie swallowed her jitters.
"Me? Pfft, never! In fact, I've been in a particularly uninquisitive mood lately. I saw a big red button earlier and I didn't even press it!" She boasted easily, allowing the drugs she was hotboxing in to ease her nervousness at his threat.
Klaus turned to look at her incredulously and Billie met his eyes, a moment of awkward soulgazing passing between them before the clairvoyant cracked.
"I lied, I did press it... but it didn't even do anything!"
