Deine Sierra PoV
This is it, pancit. After this contestant, ako na ang susunod. My hands are trembling, and I really really need to calm down because my performance might get affected.
I let out a heavy sighed. My performance will only last for minutes, I have to survive those minutes. I don't want to pressure myself, but Mom's watching and I want to impress her. I will do my best for her, to make her proud.
I finally stood up from my seat when I heard the crowd's clap. I held my chin up and smile, hanggang sa maglakad na'ko papunta sa likod ng curtain.
The MC announced my name and school name as the curtain in front of me started to open. Sumalubong sakin ang liwanag na nakatutok sakin. Nag adjust muna ang mata ko before I finally saw the crowd. The grand piano is placed in the middle of the stage I'm standing with.
I started to walk palapit sa grand piano at tumigil sa tabi non. I bowed my head first and nakita ko pa sa front seat sina Bright, Mom, Kerby and his two friends, Andrew and Kent. Mom gave me a big thumbs up.
I just realized that I'm blessed kahit na may hindi kami pagkaka unawaan ng Dad ko. I mean I have Mom who always understands me and make me feel loved.
I have my childhood friend, Bright who taught me to make friends other than him when he left me. Now I understand why he did that, and I'm happy that he still came back kahit na iniwan niya 'ko noon. Sino bang hindi matutuwa kapag may kaibigan kang napagkukuhanan ng fries and sundae? My Bro is a total package.
The three bitches. Wala man sila ngayon, I know na pare pareho lang kami ng hiling ngayon. They may not be perfect, or a good example sometimes, but I love them.
Kent and Andrew. Those two are the best example of happy go lucky. I'm sure they also suffer from problems, but still, they always manage to smile and make the people around them happy.
And syempre, Kerby. Kakalimutan ko ba siya. He's always good to me. Always genuine. Always caring and all. I just don't know if I deserve him for he is too kind.
Sabihin man ni Kerby na kaya niyang mag hintay, paano kung wala naman pala siyang mapala? What if dumating nga 'yung time na handa na'ko, pero hindi naman siya 'yung gusto ko? That will surely hurt him. So I guess I have to say the magic words to him. I just hope he won't change. We won't change towards each other.
I smile to crowd at pumwesto na sa upuan na nasa harap ng piano. I placed my hands on the key and started playing it.

"Mom!!! Wahhh! I won!!" I shouted in glee as I hug my Mom after they announced the winners.
"I'm so proud of you, Desi." My Mom whispered while hugging me too.
"Thank you, Mom." I answered, at lumayo sakanya. "This trophy is for you, Mom."
She smiled at me and wipe the tears from my eyes. "You deserve it, Desi. Always remember that you compete, for yourself, not for the others. Congratulations, Desi."
"Thank you, Mom." I said and turned to Bright. I smiled at him and hugged him. "Thank you, Bright. Thank you for keeping your promise to me that I will win this competition."
"Sis, it's you who won the competition. Not me. Ikaw ang nag play ng piano, I just guided you. But still, I'm happy because you're happy. Congratulations, Deine." Lumayo siya and he gave me a sweet smile.
"Mom, look. Pa- humble si Bright." I said while pointing Bright. I laughed to his reaction.
"Tita, matagal na akong humble 'di ba?" Bright pouted.
