TDIP - Chapter 07

Deine Sierra PoV

Ten days before our cluster meet in sports ay nagpa practice na kaming lahat ng players na nanalo sa intramurals. Excuse na ako sa buong klase same with Ciara na chess player.

Rhoishie, Kathleen, Leidee, Stieben, Jerwin, Arjay, and Bright are my table tennis team mates. Single A ako while Rhoishie is Single B. Leidee and Kathleen are doubles. Sa boys naman ay doubles sina Stieben and Jerwin. Single A si Arjay at single B si Bright.

"Oyy umayos kayo, nandyan na si Coach." Stieben announced while running towards us.

Napangiwi na lang ako. Lahat kasi kami ay nakahiga sa mga table dahil inaantok pa kami. Coach told us to go to school at four AM para sumabay sa warm up ng mga volleyball players and badminton.

"Sh*t! We're dead." Rhoishie said at agad na tumayo sa pagkakahiga rin.

"Let's go out na!! Sumabay na tayo sa mga tumatakbo!" I shouted. Gosh. Baka pahirapan kami ni Coach kapag nakita niya pa kami dito.

"Bahala kayo! Mauuna na ako, halika na Deine!" Bright said at agad na hinila ang kamay ko palabas sa pinto na diretso sa field.

We're wearing shorts and tshirt only since practice lang ang gagawin namin the whole day.

"Gosh, sino ba kasing nagsabi na huwag na tayo mag warm up??" I asked while we're running. Nasa likod namin ni Bright ang ibang team mates namin.

"Arjay." Bright answered. His hair is bouncing while running since smooth ang hair niya. I wonder what my hair looks now since hindi ko naitali ang buhok ko because I thought we're just going to lay down there.

"Hey Bright, can you wait for me? I'll just tie my hair." I said as I stopped running.

"Sure." He answered and walked near me. "Do you have any rubber band?" He asked but I shooked my head. Wala naman ako eh.

" A handkerchief will do." I answered. Habang inaayos ko ang buhok ko ay pumunta siya bigla sa likod ko.

"Can I? I can do that for you. Tinatali ko nga ang buhok ng kapatid ko." He stated that made me nod.

"Si Snow?" I asked him.

"Yeah."

"Aww that cutie. She's so cute." I pouted my lips while remembering her younger sister. Dalawa lang silang magkapatid and panganay si Bright.

"Actually she wanted to see you. Makikipag laro daw siya sayo." Said Bright. "Where's your handkerchief?" He asked kaya inabot ko ang panyo ko. "There." He said when he finally finished tying my hair.

"Thanks." I thanked him and smiled. Bahagya akong napa atras when he wiped the sweat on my forehead.

"Let's go? Naiwan na tayo." He said when he finished wiping my sweat.

"Yeah, let's run." I answered at nauna ng tumakbo sakanya.

I can see Krizha and Cheska's sad face sa third floor ng building. They are watching me while running sa bintana.

Aww kawawa naman sila. Natatawa nalang ako sa mukha nila. Mainggit lang kayo mga hampaslupa!

Sumama ang mukha ko when I saw Ciara, coolly seated at the bench with Althea. Bitch! Hindi man siya nagpapractice!

"Guys, tinatawag na tayo ni Coach. Stop na daw sa pagtakbo baka daw pagod na tayo." Jerwin said chuckling.

Akala siguro ni Coach ay kanina pa kami tumatakbo where in fact naka tatlong ikot palang kami.

"Coach! Hayss, pagod na pagod kami Coach." Arjay said, acting like he's really tired. What a good actor.

"Anong pagod?? I-practice niyo backhand niyo!" Coach Sab answered that made us pout. "Pumunta na kayo sa mga table niyo." He ordered again kaya pumunta na ako sa table kung saan si Rhoishie ang kalaban ko since we're both singles.
