It's new year, and it's Kerby's birthday. I bought him a gift yesterday tho' I don't know what he wants that's why bumili ako ng random stuff. T-shirt, hoodie, and shoes. I also wrote a letter for him.
We're now heading to the rooftop to watch the fireworks, Kerby is also there that's why dinala kona 'yung gifts ko. Dad asked me about this gift. I just told him that I will give this to a friend na nandito rin.
Gladly, he didn't asked more, baka ano pang masabi ko kung mag tanong pa siya.
It's 11:56 in the evening, they are having a countdown. Maraming tao 'yung nandito ngayon sa rooftop.
I texted Kerby na nandito na'ko sa rooftop, hindi ko siya mahanap dahil madaming tao 'yung nag aabang din sa fireworks.

"Happy new year, Desi!!"
"Pusang gala ka!" I hissed while holding my chest, nagulat ako. Bigla siyang sumulpot sa likod ko.
"Wow, imbis na happy new year sabihin mo, pusang gala pa" Kerby muttered.
"Happy birthday" I greeted him, and handed the gift. "It's just a simple gift but I hope you will like it." I smiled sweetly and hugged him. He was shocked but he still hugged me back.
"Thank you so much, Desi." He thanked me. I can feel his sincerity.
We're at the center of the rooftop, watching the fireworks together. I'm beside him, pareho kaming nakatingala habang nanonood.
I can see him from my peripheral vision, smiling widely. Dahan dahan ko siyang liningon while he's still watching the fireworks.
My eyes widened when he looked at me. I suddenly felt butterflies in my stomach. Biglang nawala ang lahat ng tao and all I can see is him. My heart is pounding because of him.
I don't know what to do, basta natulala nalang ako sakanya. He smiled at me that made my heart flutter more.
I suddenly felt contented and grateful while starring at him. Is it possible to see the whole universe in one person?
"Kerby come here," I ordered and hold his shoulder to lower him, nakatingkad na'ko because he's tall.
"W-What? Why--?"
He stopped talking when I kissed his forehead. "Just wait until I become successful, I will marry you." I whispered the last words.
"I will, Desi. I will." He answered that made my heart melt.

"Mom are you okay?" I asked Mom while we are eating, she looks nervous and pinagpapawisan siya. We're now here at our suite.
