Hyunsoo woke up of course with a sight headache, the pain wasn't all too new for her and so, she was able to get off her bed without any issues. Her eyes fell at the clothes from last night and her memories flooded in. No she didn't regret it, in fact it surprised her when she smiled at the memory, she couldn't forget how the boy gazed into her eyes, she hadn't even looked at her wall yet and when she did, she was surprised.
Hyunsoo walked to her desk and touched the sketch, despite the canvas being a regular wall the art made it look vibrant, even when it was all grey, she touched the shaded parts and looked at the grey marks that spread onto her fingers, she smiled and looked at the art work.
All of her good mood that morning was destroyed after she heard that notification from her phone.
- I'm back in Seoul, can we meet some time?
Her eyebrows frowned as she read the text over and over again making sure she wasn't seeing things. She gulped before deleting the message and erasing traces of that particular number from her phone. Of course that wouldn't help, the person would still be able to text her hereafter, she only did what she did to get her mind off the text. She didn't want to see it again. Another notification and this time she was glad it was from her Agency.
- We've sent your best images to CoverGirl and they've accepted three of them, you'll be having a meeting with them personally to decide which of the three will be used on their cover page for the world to see, the rest of the details would be given to you in the office.
At the message from Kim, Hyunsoo felt light hearted. The tension surrounding her dropped when she knew her hardwork was paying off. She couldn't afford having someone tarnishing her hard built reputation once again.
Hyunsoo walked to the kitchen for a glass of water where she was reminded of something Renjun brought for her last night. She checked the refrigerator to find the box and carefully took it out, placing it on the counter top. She peeled the tape on the opening of the box and opened to see two deserts. It looked like chocolate mouse from the outside but what caught her attention the most was the little stick on top, one of the sticks held a picture of Chip while the other desert held Dale, she felt touched to see her childhood favorite cartoon characters out of the blue, she chose to enjoy it after she was back from the Agency and skipped her way back to the room.
She got ready for work and slid a bracelet on before fitting her heels and leaving the house. Hyunsoo didn't realise she had been smiling everytime her mind brought her memories of Renjun, the very thought of the shy and artistic soul made her smile inwardly till she finally reached her Agency.
The place was crowded as it was past 9 already and so she walked in with her facemask on. The guards bowed and she did so too, taking the same route as always she reached her office where Kim along with two men, one who looked Asian and the other European, Hyunsoo bowed respectfully and seated herself beside Kim.
"I hope you know what the meeting is about?" The man who Hyunsoo assumed to be European started and Hyunsoo replied.
"Yes, Mr. Kim had already enlightened me of that this morning," at her words the Asian man brought out a black thick portfolio and untangled the strings to open the file.
"These are the three pictures we loved best," the European chap said.
"We need your assistance to decide which one of them would be best to put out there," the Asian one said.
"I'm Chirstopher Janning and that is Xien Mi Weng by the way, we are associate directors to CoverGirl, reporting to Korea at the moment," the European whom Hyunsoo now knew to be Christopher spoke up and Hyunsoo nodded before looking at the pictures they put forth.
All three of them were Hyunsoo's favorites but one of them caught her eye in specific.
"We'll work with this one."
The day went well for Hyunsoo, almost too well, as the final selection for the cover page was done Hyunsoo was now free till the charts put up her picture. She drove back home in glee, part of her wanted to exclaim her happiness to Renjun but part of her was a bit insecure.
Hyunsoo didn't have a lot of people to hangout with, after her earlier controversies she was left alone by quite a few that were close to her, leaving only Kim who always pushed her to work double hard. She didn't want Renjun to find her clingy, as she simply was happy to have found someone who cared. Hyunsoo reached closer to her apartment and what made her heart drop was the man in a black overcoat right in front of the house. Before she could reverse the guy saw her and she knew she couldn't just run away.
