Renjun bit his lip as he sat crouched down beside the girl while she remained asleep, he set his camera on focus and smiled inwardly while taking a picture of hers, his heart skipped a beat when he heard how loud the camera snapped and the amount of flash that came after, as much as Renjun wanted to wack himself up, he managed to get up and act natural when Hyunsoo rubbed her eyes, she rose up quickly and looked at Renjun who smiled all innocent.

He hid the cake in the fridge before having taken her picture and stayed quiet about it.

"When did you come back?" Hyunsoo asked and Renjun smiled before seating himself down beside her.

"Only now, you looked tired," Renjun said and Hyunsoo shook her head.

"I'm alright now," Hyunsoo said and Renjun noticed how her eyes went from him to the door quite often.

"So, what did you want to do?" Renjun asked, acting oblivious.

"Oh, umm, let's watch a movie?" Hyunsoo said before getting off the couch and to the movies she planned on watching.

"Hmm let's see," she placed them on the table in front of the couch and took her seat beside Renjun as they searched through the DVDs.

"This one looks cute," Renjun pointed, Hyunsoo looked at it and smiled.

"Marley and Me, yes sir!" Hyunsoo said and chuckled, the two brought the movie out in no time, lights went shut and Hyunsoo brought both of them blankets as they started watching the movie, the air conditioner and darkness in the room made it colder in there as Hyunsoo snuggled into her blanket, she kept moving her gaze to the door again and again wondering why her cake wasn't here yet.

"Is something bothering you? Renjun asked directly and Hyunsoo herself was a bit fazed by his straightforwardness. She managed to cover up the fluster and looked back to the movie.

"Oh it's just, its sad now," Hyunsoo said, pointing at the movie. Renjun smiled and looked back at the movie.

As she said, it only got sadder, Marley was at the verge of breathing it's last and Hyunsoo was tearing up. Renjun felt himself get sad but he needed to move to the kitchen to get the cake too. He made sure she was rubbing her eyes when he left, the tears couldn't allow her to notice right at first and so he made his move.

He almost tripped while searching for a candle but it was all worth it when the movie was finally over and Renjun turned the lights on. Hyunsoo took a few seconds to collect herself after the poor old dog died. Her eyes a bit widened when she noticed the cake she called for secretly now in Renjun's hands. He smiled as he placed it on the table with a candle that emitted it's light.

"It was here already?" Hyunsoo said and Renjun nod his head.

"I'm sorry, I should've known it was your birthday," Renjun apologized but Hyunsoo only covered her face, rubbing off the last bit of tears as she bowed small and motioned him to sit next to her.

"Happy birthday to you," Renjun sang softly and his voice only made her love the song as she smiled to herself out of happiness.

"Thank you, really, thank you," Hyunsoo said, her eyes gazing at him. The cake cut and each of them took their shares after Hyunsoo set up an another movie, only this time, they weren't watching it at all.

"How did you feel when your first art work was recognised?" Hyunsoo asked as she had her cake.

"I wasn't expecting it to get recognised  at all, I didn't think so many people would be interested in art in today's day and age," Renjun said as he opened the bottle of wine, pouring some for both of them.

The night passed as they drank wine and ate cake, had deep talks and all in the midst of darkness. The lights were still turned off and the movie still went on but neither of them looked towards the TV, simply drowning in each other's stories.

"Are you kidding me? You're drawings are so good, what a shame you drew on my walls and I'm not even there now, " Hyunsoo slurred, she wasn't drunk but the little bit of tipsiness made her speak without much filter.

Renjun's lips perked a smile and Hyunsoo giggled.

"Renjun, baby, you need to smile like that more often, your smile is so pretty," Hyunsoo said, her hands going to pinch his cheeks and she laughed to herself, amused of her actions.

"Ah, I'll stop drinking now," Hyunsoo said and placed her glass on the table, her head hitting the head rest as she breathed comfortably, it went quiet only for a little bit before Renjun spoke.

"Why the 'Hwang Hyunsoo'?" He asked, the question poked him quite a bit till he asked her and Hyunsoo turned to look at him.

"Kim told me to not use my last name during anything unofficial, mainly cause of Wontaek," Hyunsoo replied and Renjun noticably looked a bit disheartened.

"Oh, yeah that's right, it's the only way you can stay out his radar," Renjun said before taking a swig off his wine, finishing the glass and placing it on the table.

"Did you want it to have another reason?" Hyunsoo asked, her direct question didn't make the boy shy but rather upfront this time.

"Could it?" Renjun said and looked back at her. He wasn't mad but the alcohol surely made him more blunt.

"And next time, don't hide things please, I hate it when I'm lied to," Renjun whines and Hyunsoo smiled cheekily, her palm touching against the skin on his cheek as she gazed at the boy. While Hyunsoo had the back of her head to the headrest, Renjun too placed the side of his forehead on it, not realising how close they were to each other.

Hyunsoo rubbed her thumb along the lines of his cheek bones, stopping beside his lips before she rubbed the delicate skin against his pink lips. Renjun stared at her this whole time, whether drunk or sad, she always looked pretty to him. In the dark hall with the sound playing off the TV, they didn't realise they had been looking into each other's eyes for a while.

Renjun's eyes shifted down on the girl's slightly plump lips, Hyunsoo pushed closer to his face making him shut his eyes till he felt her lips touch his cheek, her lips lingered on the skin for a while making butterflies errupt both their young bodies.
