Chapter Twenty Four

I had awoken from my slumber at 10 AM. I had to meet with Nicholas at 1 PM. So, I went back to sleep.

And just my luck, I woke up again at 12: 52 PM. Eight minutes to get ready? Challenge accepted.

I managed to be ready by 12: 59 PM. I went downstairs, notified my parents, then head out the door. On my way to Nicholas', I remembered the date today; October 1st. Ugh, I thought. Tomorrow would be exactly 3 months since Augustus' death.
No Hazel, don't be sad. Enjoy today. Save the sadness for tomorrow.

Once I arrived at the Grady's household, I texted Nicholas to come out.

"Hey Haz!" He greeted me as he stepped in the car.

"Haz? Too cool to say 'el'?" I asked sarcastically.

"Basically." he answered.

I laughed, "well we're going out to eat, I haven't eaten breakfast yet."

He chuckled, "whatever you say, boss."

We made our way to 'The Wok', my favourite sushi place.

"I don't like Chinese food." Nicholas mentioned.

Who doesn't like Chinese?! "You like sushi?"

"I just said I-"

"It's Japamese." I asserted.

"Well, I've never tried it."

"So you can't say you don't like it."

"MORE PLEASE!" Nicholas demanded, more sushi, is what he meant.

"I knew you'd like it!" I laughed.

He laughed too. "Shut up."

I started to feel dizzy. The room started spinning. I couldn't sit up.

"HAZEL, I WAS KIDDING." Nicholas exclaimed. "HAZEL? ... HAZ-"

He was cut off by my ears, I couldn't see anything but darkness, and I went unconscious.
