"Pyper, please?!" Shayne pleaded, his voice carrying from the other side of the door. I had been crying for about 15 mins and I couldn't believe he was still outside.
He seemed like the type to leave when the party was over, when the good times left. And this wasn't a good time, I was a mess, but when am I ever not? Sniffling, I stand up and brush my attire off, fixing my short cut as I prepare myself to face Shayne.
I open the door and he jolts up from his place on the floor. I do what I never ever would have done if I wasn't depressed, and in need of something. Therefore I will use the excuse that I was drunk.
Even though I don't drink, and I sipped only water earlier, still.
I hugged him.
And guess what? He freaking hugged me back and I cried until I was tired. So many things have gotten in the way of me living and I am just so frustrated. So fed up with living, but my clock hasn't ran out and death hasn't knocked. So I just keep going, but living when the people you love aren't, is one of the hardest things to do.
I feel my feet lift off the ground as he carries me bridal style to the hall.
TJ and Dominic stand there talking, but stop when they see us.
"What's wrong with her?" Dominic demands, his hazel eyes cuts through Shayne's like a knife.
"I don't know, we were dancing and then she started crying." Shayne replies still holding me in his arms.
"Wait you were dancing?" Dominic asks, his voice enunciating each word.
Shayne nods, his long hair brushing against my face. TJ takes me from his arms, and carries me away from Shayne and Dominic.
I could walk but I take this opportunity to rest on TJ's chest watching it rise and fall with each breath. Enjoying his warmth as he turns I hear Dominc say, "grab the rest of them will ya?"
He takes me to the car, and as it roars to life I fall into slumber. Only sleep. That was all I had, the only thing that wouldn't leave me.
