18 - Study Sesh

"Mom, I'm home!" Itsuka announced as she walked in. "I brought my friends with me too."

The four of you took your shoes off by the entrance. Mrs. Kendo popped her head out of the kitchen doorway, olive green eyes lighting up when she saw her daughter. 

"Hi honey! Hi (Y/N) and Shinso," she greeted with a smile. She had a large bowl in one hand and a whisk in the other. 

"Ooo are you making cookies?" you gushed, practically jumping in excitement. Mrs. Kendo always made the best cookies. 

"I sure am," she grinned. "Just regular chocolate chip but I figured you kids could use a snack while you all study."

"Thanks mom," Itsuka beamed. "By the way, this is another classmate of ours, Monoma."

"Nice to meet you," he bowed respectfully. 

It still felt a little weird being in Itsukas house with him. But if she didn't mind it, then you weren't about to say anything. 

The four of you moved to sit at the dining room table. Bags were hung behind each persons respective chair and everyone started pulling out their books. One good thing about this study group idea, was that you wouldn't be heading home immediately after school. Izumi fell in love with Itsuka of course. Your mother was absolutely enthralled with how much of a grade A model student she was. So thanks to Itsuka, it didn't take too long to convince her to let you come over.

Even though you've already come over a thousand times. 

Mrs. Kendo strolled into the dining area carrying 4 glasses of water with her. "I just put the cookies in the oven. Here's some water for you kids in the meantime. If you guys need anything, feel free to give me a call!" She set the glasses down and turned to her daughter. "I'm going to play with your brother upstairs. Make sure to text back your father anything you need from the store since he's doing the shopping today."

"Okay, got it mom," Itsuka nodded. "Thanks for the snacks!"

"Thank you!" everyone else chimed in. 

"It's no problem. I'll leave you guys to it!"

She headed upstairs to give attention to Itsukas baby brother. You couldn't believe a parent could actually trust their child alone with two guys. If you had hosted the study session at your own house, Izumi would have sat down at the table to make sure nothing suspicious happened. 

Itsuka is so lucky. 

"Okay so this weeks quiz is on chapter 5 and 6, right?" Itsuka asked, going straight to work. 

It was a little hopeful to think she would slowly ease into the studying. 

"Yup," Shinso replied.

You weren't too sure why he even showed up. The whole walk over to Itsukas house Shinso barely said a word to the group and even now he gave off the vibe that he didn't want to be here. Meanwhile Monoma, who sat between you and Itsuka, was the exact opposite and almost couldn't stop talking. Well, he mainly spoke to your friend who had to karate chop him to make him stop blabbering too much. 

You took out the study sheet the science teacher, Snipe, had handed out last week. It looked simple enough the more you looked over it. Plus it was just a quiz. Not an exam.

"Hey Itsuka, do you mind going over this module with me?" Monoma asked, scooting over closer to her. 

"This one? Oh sure. The answer is pretty simple once you break it down."
