You fumbled with the hem of your olive colored pleated skirt, the murmur of students behind the screen door causing your heart to thump loudly in your chest. You leaned against the wall next to the classroom door, choosing to distract yourself with the passing cotton-like clouds that passed by in the window. Today would be your first day at UA High School. The high school that was famous for housing Japans greatest future pro heroes. It had been your mothers dream to attend when she was younger but due to unfortunate circumstances, she couldn't.

Instead, your aunt had went. While you were grateful that you were able to attend the prestigious school, none the less during your second year in high school, you were still incredibly nervous. You wouldn't be here if it weren't for your aunt.

Who was your aunt?

The sliding door to class 1-B opened and out popped the ravenous haired pro hero Midnight. Who just so happened to be the aunt in question. "(Y/N)~" she sang. The sound of low murmuring from the class could be heard just behind her. "Are ya just gonna stand there all day?"

I was hoping to.

"Do they know....?" you whispered to her.

"No, don't worry, my lips are sealed," she reassured, making a zipping motion past her lips. She opened the classroom door wider, turning to address the class. "Class, listen up! Today we have a new student joining us. Please give a sensational welcome to (Y/N) (L/N)!"

You took a deep breath, plastering on a small smile as you stepped through the door. Just like you expected, no one looked too interested in the new girl. Some stared back at you with furrowed brows while others actually smiled upon your arrival.

You bowed respectively to the class. "It's nice to meet you all. Just like Professor Midnight said, my name is (Y/N). I hope to get along with all of you."

"I didn't think we'd be getting a new student so late in the school year," one girl with green vines for hair stated.

A boy with mysterious, fluffed up purple hair raised an eyebrow. "Heh. She must've really impressed the teachers and principle at this school to be let in."

"Well, yeah, actually," you nodded.

While you couldn't deny Midnight had played a heavy part in your acceptance at UA by vouching for you, you were still required to present your quirk to the officials at the school. You went through various different trials that tested your quirk in new ways. That way you could prove that you belonged there just like any other student that participated in the entrance exam.

"That's really cool!" an orange haired girl beamed. "I think it's awesome that we have a new classmate."

"(Y/N), this is our class representative Itsuka Kendo," Midnight introduced.

"Hey!" she grinned. "Nice to meet you."

"Likewise," you smiled.

She seems pretty nice.

"You will meet your homeroom teacher Vlad King at the end of the day," Midnight told you. "In the meantime, please take a seat by the window in front of Monoma over there."

"Who....?"

"That would be me," said a boy with honey blonde hair and vibrant blue eyes. He waved his hand to you, gesturing towards the empty seat in front of him.

You quickly walked over to your new seat for the rest of the year. Never in a million years did you think you'd be attending UA.

Your mom had been overjoyed and filled with pride when she learned you had been accepted. While your quirk had proved you deserved to be at the school, Principal Nezu had arranged strict training for you to complete over the upcoming summer so you could catch up with everyone else.

Did you miss your previous high school? Somewhat. There were only about one or two people that you could say you genuinely missed. The people in your old high school weren't really to your liking and they felt the same towards you anyways.

Hopefully things will be different here. Now that you were at UA, you had a clean slate and you could focus on building up your hero career.

You took your notebook out of your bag, ready to take your notes for the day. That is until you felt a light tapping on your shoulder.

"Psst, new girl," the boy, Monoma, whispered behind you.

You turned around slowly, hoping that he wouldn't get you in trouble on your first day. Midnight could be pretty ruthless when it came to punishment after all. "Uh, yeah...? Can I help you?" you asked puzzled.

You thought his eyes looked gorgeous from afar, but up close they looked even more stunning. Sparkling eyes that were so blue, it would made the sky jealous. They were just so mesmerizing. Then there was the way that his sun kissed locks framed his slender face that added even more to his appeal.

Oh he is so cute.

"Names, Neito Monoma," he introduced himself. "I couldn't help but notice that you didn't tell the class what your quirk was. Mind telling me after school?"

A playful smirk soon appeared on your lips. "I'll show you my quirk if you show me yours. That sound fair?"

"Indeed it does," he grinned.

"See you after school then," you smiled.

You turned back around in your seat, Monoma chuckling to himself behind you. Your first day at UA looked like it was off to a good start. You actually felt a little excited to hang out with Monoma after school. He was someone who had definitely caught your interest.

A/N: For further clarification, (Y/N) transferred in June of freshman year. The rest of the story will take place in junior year.
