It was the next day and you were awoken by a light knocking on your door.

"Come in!" you shouted.

Nemuri opened the door, small smile on her lips. "Hey kiddo, how's it going?"

"Fine....Why...?"

You sat up in bed with a quizzical expression. Nemuri looked nervous. The question was why though? Your eyes drifted down to the cellphone in her hands. Your eyes widened when you saw who was on hold.

"Oh nonononononono!" You jumped out of bed, ready to make a dash past her out the door. "I am not talking to my mom!"

Nemuri sighed, placing her cellphone on a nearby dresser to show you that she meant no harm. "(Y/N), you almost got hurt yesterday and I think your mother deserves to know. I know I would want to know if my kid got hurt. It's not being fair to her."

"But auntie," you whined. "It's just gonna make her worry over me and complicate things. She already doesn't like the idea of me being here without her."

"Just explain things calmly to her, please."

"I don't wanna," you muttered. Perhaps you sounded like a spoiled child but you didn't care. Your mother could be so overbearing at times. Plus, the last thing she needed on top of the divorce was to worry about her only child almost getting harassed by a creep.

Nemuri placed her hands firmly on her hips, narrowing her eyes down at you. "(L/N) (Y/N), you get on the phone and talk to your mother now or else I will. And you know I can dramatize the story of what happened to make her even more paranoid."

You froze. "...You wouldn't."

She kept her eyes locked on you, attempting to show that she was serious until she broke eye contact and sighed. Nemuri moved to sit at your desk chair. "You know I don't want to do that. Just please, talk to her (Y/N)." She handed the cellphone to you with empathetic eyes. "For me at least?"

You looked at the device, biting your inner cheek before giving in with a sigh.

"Alright, I'll do it. But I'm warning you, she's most likely going to have a shit fit."

"Oh trust me I know," Nemuri said with a sarcastic smile. "Izumi was always the type to lose her head over the smallest of things. So I have no doubt that she might faint on the phone over this....Hmmm, maybe put her on speaker for me, will ya? J-Just in case."

You nodded, agreeing with your aunt. Your thumb hovered over the unmute button, contemplating over what would happen if you pressed the end call button instead. Chances were that Nemuri would get angry and call back your mother before you could escape.

It was time to face the music. With a sigh, you unmuted the call and put your mother on speaker for Nemuri to listen in.

"Hello? Nemuri is that you?"

You stiffened at the sound of your mothers voice. She sounded tired, more tired than she had been the day she dropped you off at your aunts house.

"No, mom, it's me...." you answered slowly. You heard a shuffling noise on the other end and the faint sound of her sniffling.

Has she been crying again?

"(Y-Y/N)!" she stammered surprised. She was doing her best to sound delighted to hear you. "How are you sweetie? Are the kids at school treating you well?"

"Yeah, they're treating me fine mom. Everyone's really nice."

"That's good to hear, I'm so glad. I was so worried about how it would be for you to suddenly transfer in the middle of the year like that." The sad part was, she really did sound relieved. You transferring to UA must have made her more scared than you thought.
