The entrance came to an abrupt halt; with the fluorescent lights switching back on and stinging your poor eyes. The roof of the building was pulled back to let in the natural sunlight and soon, medics came onto the scene to assist those that needed it.

You sat up on the cracked sidewalk, looking towards the bleachers to see your family and Itsuka cheering for you enthusiastically. It was hard to make out what they were saying nonetheless, they looked proud.

Even your mom did. Which was surprising to say the least.

"Hey, (Y/N)!" Shinso had just suddenly appeared by using his binding cloth to swing in. He landed before you, forehead covered in sweat and dirt. Much like yours was. "Hey princess," he said in a lower tone as he knelt beside you. "You alright?"

You hoped there was enough dirt on your face to cover up your reddening cheeks.

"Quit babying her, she's fine," Camie said in a huff. She stood further away and was doing a poor attempt at dusting her uniform off.

"Who asked you?" you groaned.

"See?" Camie smirked arrogantly. "She's fine."

You rolled your eyes at her and turned your attention back to Shinso. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just super fucking tired."

"Aren't we all," he chuckled.

He extended his hand toward you and helped you get back onto your feet.

"ATTENTION! ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST EXIT TO THE LEFT AND RETURN TO YOUR RESPECTIVE LOCKERROOMS!"

Soon, every student began to make their way towards the locker rooms.

After getting checked on by medics and taking a quick shower, you waited outside the back of the arena for Shinso. Hopefully, your mom wouldn't find you and insist on dragging you to a celebratory dinner. Any other time you could've grinned and bear with her antics, but right now you still needed a moment to adjust after everything.

Nothing more was said to students after the exam except to wait to receive a letter in the mail. No congratulations, no good lucks, not even a simple "goodbye." It ended so abruptly. It made you feel like everyone did piss poor.

Your phone began buzzing in your pocket and you groaned when you saw that it was your aunt calling you.

Should I pick up or ignore it? Ugh if I ignore it then mom will freak out and probably cause a scene.

With a sigh, you picked up.

"Hey auntie, what's up?"

"(Y/N)? Where are you? I thought you'd be back by the car but we can't find you. Your mom even sent Itsuka to go look for you."

Fuck.

"Uh actually, uhm..."

"What is it?"

"Nemuri, where's (Y/N)? Is she still packing up?" Your mothers impatient attitude could be heard on the other end.

"Actually, I wanted to celebrate with my friends first. Just go out to eat for lunch maybe? I-I could come back for dinner to celebrate with you guys later..."

A rustling sound was heard as your mother snatched the phone away from Nemuri.

"Huh! (Y/N)? Why aren't you coming back? You better not have left the stadium already," she warned with a hiss.

Before you could even speak, more rustling and whisper-yelling could be heard on the other end as Nemuri took her phone back. You hoped that your aunt could pull through and help your mom be a little more understanding.
