9 - So There's This Friend

I can't believe I kissed him. What the fuck is wrong with me.

Monday had came and went, school life keeping you semi-grounded. 

"(Y/N), do you still need to copy some of my math notes?" Itsuka asked, snapping you out of your thoughts. 

"Huh? Y-Yeah, I do."

"Were you daydreaming again?" she giggled. "See if you spent less time daydreaming then you would be able to take better notes in class."

"It's not my fault Ectoplasm was going so fast!" you whined. "I could barely keep up with all the problems he was writing on the board."

"I'm not surprised to hear that," Shinso said. He had been walking alongside you and Itsuka quietly until now. "If you don't pay attention you're gonna fail the next exam again."

"Ugh don't remind me. Um, when is the next exam?"

Itsuka and Shinso exchanged a look with another. That couldn't be good.

"It's this Thursday," Itsuka informed you. "Please tell me you've been studying."

You stopped walking, the world starting to spin around you. This Thursday? Surely Itsuka was joking right? Right? But now that you thought about it, the next exam was this Thursday. How could you even forget! Nemuri barely let you get away with the grade you got last time. If you failed again, she would chew your head off. 

"Oh yeah, she forgot," Shinso snickered. 

You clasped your hands together, running up to Itsuka with big puppy dog eyes. "Please can we study today!" you pleaded. "Please!" 

Itsuka sighed. "You're lucky I don't mind studying," she grumbled. "But next time you need to study sooner!"

"Yes, yes, of course!"

"You know she won't," Shinso quipped.

"Shut up," you growled at him. You turned your attention back to Itsuka with a smile on your face. "So, you wanna head to the library now?"

On any other day, you would be back home relaxing or hanging out at Itsukas place. But since you had neglected your academic studies, you were now stuck at the library at UA trying to cram as much information in your head as possible. There were stacks of books around you, all math related of course as math wasn't your greatest subject. Itsukas notes had helped a bit, but you needed extra help in understanding different concepts. 

Shinso sat across from you at the table. He had surprisingly decided to tag along despite the fact that he always aced his exams. He sat with his chin resting in his palm as his other hand mindlessly flipped through the pages on his notebook. 

Clearly he was bored. 

Itsuka had gone to check out another textbook and you were writing down notes in your book when you felt a paper ball land on your forehead. Then Shinso silently cheered to himself.

"What do you want?" you asked in a harsh, hushed tone. 

"(Y/N), I'm bored," he whined. "Can we take a little break?"

"You can but I can't," you grumbled. You buried your nose back into your book. "I still have a lot of studying to do." 

He leaned over the table, bringing your book down with his fingers. "Pleeeaase," he begged. "A little 5 minute break wouldn't hurt. Let's get a snack."
