It's been about two months since Jayy got attacked. And me and Jayy have become best friends since then.
He's amazing. I basically live at his house, and he basically lives at mine.
As of now, I'm sitting in his bedroom watching TV while he's downstairs doing whatever Jayy does. I grew bored, hopping off his bed and scampering down the stairs. I found Jayy's mother sitting on the couch, watching TV.
She smiled at me, "Hi Perrie,"
"Hi Ms. Griffis. Have you seen Jayy?" I asked curiously
"Yes, he's in the backyard," She said
"Okay, thanks!" I said, skipping to the back door
I opened it up, finding Jayy outside, but his shoulders were shaking slightly. I walked towards him, getting worried as I heard soft sniffles. He had a cigarette in one hand, his other covering his face. I touched his shoulder, and he flinched. I removed my hand, staring at him worriedly.
"Jayybear, what's wrong?" I whispered
He slowly turned around, and I saw tears streaming down his cheeks. I gasped, immediately wrapping my arms around him in a hug. He cried into my shoulder, his face buried in my neck.
"What's wrong?" I asked again
He handed me his phone, which was opened to a text message. I glanced at it, gasping.
In blue letters, were two words, "We're over,"I looked back up at Jayy, who had turned his face away from me. He was still crying, and I hugged him again. He barely reacted, just put his arms around me and cried. His skinny body shook in my arms, and I felt the tears rise in my eyes. I buried my face in his chest, starting to cry.
He moved his head to look at me, "Why are you c-crying?" he asked quietly
"Because my best friend is hurting," I replied
He turned fully, and we both stood there, crying, waiting until we could calm down.
After two hours outside, Jayy had finally calmed down enough to return inside. I still felt terrible about what happened to him. That asshole he was dating lost something amazing.
Jayy sat on his bed, pain still evident in his eyes. I walked over to him, hugging him tightly. He was taken aback, but regardless, hugged me back. He buried his face in the crook of my neck, his eyes wet.
"I'm so sorry you had to have this happen," I whispered"It's not your fault," He replied quietly
"You never deserved that. He lost something amazing, Jayy,"
"Yeah, sure," He whimpered
I pulled away, placing both hands on his cheeks. I forced him to meet my eyes, "Jayy, you are amazing. There's no doubt about it. If I hadn't of found you, I would've never had a best friend. Stop saying you aren't amazing. Because I don't lie. You ARE amazing to me," I said
I smiled, hugging him again. He hugged back, letting me go. I couldn't help but feel sad that he wasn't holding me anymore.
He turned on his TV, a scary movie appearing. I squealed, covering my face as a monster showed up. Jayy chuckled beside me, and pulled me towards him.
I hid in his chest, shaking when I heard a girl scream or the monsters growl. Jayy sat there quietly, holding me which barely flinching.
"God how can you sit through them?" I cried
Jayy laughed, "They are so fake, Pez. You can totally tell that the blood is red corn syrup and the wounds are done by shitty makeup artists," Jayy concluded, pointing them out"Well...true..." I carried
Jayy smirked at me, his right eye peeking from out of his hair, "So it makes the movie seem less scary. Since you know what's fake and all,"
"But some of the movies have real story lines!" I frowned, staring into his mesmerzing eyes.
Wait. I did NOT just call his eyes mesmerzing.
Oh who am I kidding. I did.
"Yeah, those are the ones that scare me," Jayy replied, turning his head to his mirror, "Ugh, my hair looks horrid,"
"Haha," I laughed
He scowled at me, "I'm gonna go fix it," Jayy said, getting up.
I was sad that he wasn't holding me anymore.
No Perrie. You cannot be falling for your best friend.
Oh who am I kidding. I am falling for him.Goddammit.
