Ever since Stephen met Peter, he was determined to scare him. Now this may seem like a very strange goal to set, but you see Peter isn't scared of anything. It must be the Gen Z humour he has been brought up on.
When they first met, Stephen was playing around with his magic and accidentally chopped the couch in two. Everyone else in the room jumped out of their skin. Peter stared at the couch, then at Stephen looking him dead in the eye as he said, "and I oop." with the most deadpanned expression possible.
Stephen made it his mission to scare the kid.
That takes us to today. Peter, Tony and Stephen were all sitting on the couch when the power went out. Peter groaned as the TV flicked of, he was in the middle of watching the last episode of Stranger Things and was really into it. Tony was asleep so couldn't care less.
Stephen took his chance.
"Don't worry Pete." He said and cracked his knuckles. Sparks flew and his knuckles lit up in a luminous glow.
He expected Peter to be startled, at the very least intrigued.
Instead the boy turned to the wizard with the same deadpanned look as before.
"Spoopy." He said, with very unenthusiastic jazz hands.
"Jesus christ I give up!"
