Mina's pov

It felt like hours I was sitting there, watching the rise and fall of my best friend's chest before the door to the room opened, Hanta stepping in.

"Hey, everyone is in the kitchen. How is he?" As I watched him walk over to sit on the edge of the bed, I sighed.

"He won't wake up Sero. I rubbed his chest and pinched his toes, and nothing!" Tears welled up in my eyes before sliding down my face, mirroring Hanta's worry as he shook his boyfriend to see for himself.

"Denki. Baby, wake up. Denks?" and just as earlier, my friend made no movement, his breathing even and shallow. "Fuck. I gotta get Kirishima. S-stay here with him and I'll be back." He shot up off the bed and hurried from the room.

Hanta's pov

Fuck. Shit! Mother fuckin-

"Kiri! I need you!" As I ran into the room, all eyes turned to me and Kirishima held his hands up, a smirk on his face.

"Woah, woah, I though we both had boyfriends here-" His face went from playful to serious as I continued, tears now falling.

"It's Denki. He's not waking up or responding to anything and I don't know what to do because Mina said she already tried to-" His hands rested on my shoulders as I began hyperventilating.

"Calm down. Is he breathing?" I nodded. "Good. Is Mina still with him?" Another nod. "Okay, Come on." And he pulled me towards where me and Denki slept.

As we entered the room, Mina was still in the same place and watching him intently. Kirishima sighed and walked over to pat her shoulder.

"Come on, you two go get some dinner and I'll watch him. Everyone can take turns so we're not just sitting in one place." Hesitantly, Mina nodded and stood, allowing me to lead her from the room.

I sat at the end of the bed Denki was laying on and placed my hand on the top of his foot, finding the pulse there and letting my fingers rest over it. As I sat, I began humming quietly, a song I used to sing when I was younger.

Closing my eyes, I allowed my thoughts to wander, keeping my hand on his foot.

-

"Hey hey, woah, chill out! I'm alive!!" The blonde at the end on my gun held his hands up with wide eyes, blood smeared on his face and hands. lowing the weapon, I sighed and he nodded.

"Thank you. I'd rather not die today, if that's possible." Stepping back, I saw that his shirt was ripped in spots and his pants were covered in dirt and dried blood.

"What's your name?" He looked at me from where he  had turned to grab his backpack. "Are you alone?"

"I'm Kaminari. I've been alone since this shit started. Why do you ask?" I watched him closely as he strapped a katana to his back, making sure it was tight enough to not fall off.

"I have a small group. You shouldn't be alone out here. You could die. Come with me?" He looked at me and smiled.

"As long as you don't try and shoot me again." I couldn't help but smile back.

"Deal."

-

I was brought out of my own head by someone walking in. Todoroki.

"Hey. I'll take my turn. Go eat." Nodding, I stood and he took his own spot in the old office chair that sat at the desk, watching him carefully.

Todoroki's pov

"You're worrying us all, you know. Sero's the most upset though." Speaking quietly, I let my eyes trail to his arm, where a scar made me smile slightly.

-

I felt something push into me before I was on my stomach, face in the dirt and someone on my back with something sharp and cold to the back of my neck.

"Who are you, and what are you doing here?" The voice was low and I tried to shift, only to feel the blade dig deeper into my neck. "Answer me!"

"I'm just passing through. I needed supplies for me and my friend." Of course it was a lie. Me and Hagakure had decided we were going to sneak into their camp and take their stuff. Simple, right? apparently not.

I heard a whizzing sound and a cry from above me and I took the moment he loosened his grip on the blade to slip out from under him and pin him to the ground, seeing the arrow through his arm. Not close enough to break the bone, but still through his arm.

Hagakure jumped from the tree she was in and we made a break for it, running off and leaving Kaminari there with his injury.

It wasn't even a week later when I was returning to the same spot with and unconscious and injured Hagakure, and calling for help, only for the blonde boy with a bandage around his arm to lead us back to his camp.

-

"Shoto? Hey, it's been a few hours. I went ahead and slept so you should go sleep with the others." A hand ruffled my hair and I smiled as I looked up and saw Hagakure.

"Okay. Thank you."

"No problem."

Hagakure's pov

Sitting beside the bed and resting my head beside Kaminari's chest, I let my hand rest against his side and feel his heartbeat through his shirt. I closed my eyes and interlaced my free hand with his gently, frowning.

-

"Excuse me? You want me to what now?" Staring in disbelief, I held up my bow to make sure I heard him correctly.

"I want you to shoot at me. Don't actually shoot me, just like...to the side of me or something. I wanna test my reflexes and what better way to do that than to try and slice flying arrows out of the air?" He smiled and held up his sword happily.

"You're insane." I shook my head with a smile as I pulled an arrow from my bag.

"Thank you!" He scurried a few yards away and held his sword out in a ready position.

~

It took a few days, maybe a week before he was hitting every arrow I shot at him. then we moved on to drawing and hitting the arrows. Next was trying it blind folded, listening for when the bow was drawn, the snap of it releasing, and the whizzing of the arrow.

He got it on the second try.

By the time all was said and done, Kaminari was amazing with his sword and I had greatly approved in my bow and arrow skills.

-

I wonder if he'd still be that good after almost two years without his sword. Hanta had taken it away after Jiro had disappeared and Kaminari wasn't doing the best mentally. The blonde had just assumed he lost it somewhere along the way and everyone went with it.

The shifts continued for three days, everyone taking turns in watching over their friend. Occasionally, they would try and wake him, and each time with no success.

Sometimes, his breathing was more shallow and his heartbeat weaker, and other times, his breathing was deeper and his heartbeat stronger.

It was nearing dinnertime, and Ojiro was the one watching him for the next few hours. everyone sat down around the room to eat in silence until it was broken by the door opening quickly and Ojiro panting from running.

"Guys!"
