--Scott--

Mitch, my new assistant, is starting today. I'm excited to get to know him better.

"He's in there. Go on in." I heard the receptionist say as I sat at my desk.

Mitch walked in after she spoke, "Good morning Scott." He said as he came over to my desk.

"Morning." I gave him a smile and motioned for him to sit across from me.

"So, what exactly do I do?"

"Follow me where I go. Do anything I ask or need you to do."

"I see. I'm sorry to ask but when exactly do I get to go home? My son gets home at 4 so I was wondering if he'd have to be home with his dad for a while."

"You get here at 7. Leave at 3."

"Alright. Thank you."

"I have a meeting today with some people who want to contribute with us. My asshole father will be there as well so it should be interesting."

"Okay. So I go with you right?"

"You do. Yes. Do you have to pee? I have to pee." I got up and went out my door, Mitch following behind.
-
I used the bathroom, since he didn't have to, and we walked into the meeting with everyone staring at us.

"Morning everyone." I said with a smirk on my face, "Morning dad." I said sternly, sitting down across from him.

"Morning." Mitch said quietly.

"Let's get started. Shall we?" The big man said at the end of the table.

"We shall." I stated. Business talk went on for what seemed like forever until we finally came to a decision.

"I believe that this business can, and will, do good as long as you have something to do with it." The big man said to my father.

"I get it, but I already handed my company over to my son." He said, motioning towards me.

"I see. Well you're here, at this meeting. I'm telling you Mr. Scott Hoying, that if you mess up this company it'll go to shit. You'll waste everything your father did to make it a good company and he'll hate you for it. Not that he doesn't hate you already."

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

"You know what I mean Scott. We're leaving now. Have a good day." Everyone got up besides Mitch and I.

"Have a good day." I said in a mocking tone.

"Shall we leave? Or stay here?" Mitch asked, turning to me. I looked over at him.

"Wanna get some lunch?" He sighed, hesitating, then nodded.
