"Four months along already, huh?"

"Yep. I told Andrew, and you, but that's it."

"You haven't told your baby daddy?"

"Uh, no. I need to find the good time to divorce him. I want out already."

"I see. Well, all you have to do is go. It's all you Mitch."

"I know." He grabbed his phone out of his pocket when it started ringing, "Hello?"

"Yes. Is this Mitch McCormick? Andrew's dad?"

"This is."

"We're calling to inform you that your husband, Joel, came to the school around eleven to get Andrew."

"Did he say why?"

"No. We didn't ask. Was he supposed to remove him from school?"

"Not that I know of. He didn't say anything to me. I'll give him a call, thank you." He dropped the phone on his lap and sighed.

"Is everything alright?"

"Joel picked Andrew up from school."

"Did he say anything to you?"

"Nope. Can I call him quick?"

"Of course." He stood up and walked out with the phone to his ear.

Mitch came back maybe 10 minutes later with tears on his cheeks, "Mitch. What's wrong?"

"Joel didn't answer." I watched him as he sat down in the chair.

"What the hell? Wanna go home early so you can track him down?"

"No, I don't wanna see him. I just wanna know if Andrew is okay."

"Why don't you and I go to your house to see if they're there?"

"I don't wanna bother you."

"We have nothing planned today, Mitch. Would you wanna stay here and worry about your son or leave and go find him?"

"Find him."

"Let's go. Grab your jacket and let's go get your kid."
