"He hasn't come home yet?" I asked Mitch who was sitting in his chair across from me.
"No. It's been a month. No sign of him. Andrew is kinda doing better though. I'm worried Joel will come back randomly and it'll scare Andrew back to how he was when it happened. He didn't talk for a week. I'm terrified."
"It'll be okay. I just think now is your time. You need to divorce him Mitch. Get it over with."
"I want to, believe me, I do. I'm just so scared of him. It's the worst time for him to do anything bad to me. I'm five months pregnant with this baby girl and I don't wanna lose her."
"Baby girl? You found out the sex?"
"Oh yes. I did. Yesterday I went for my check-up and I asked them if they could tell me. I'm trying to figure out names but I'm so indecisive."
"You have at least a couple you really like?"
"Yeah. I like Ruby, Charlotte, and Michelle."
"I really like Ruby. It's a pretty name."
"That one is my favorite. I think I'll pick that one but I wanna talk with my expert. Andrew, I mean."
"Oh of course." I watched as Mitch giggled. It was the first time he's laughed in a month. Maybe more.
