"The divorce is final." I told Scott in the office.

"Well good for you. I think you should celebrate."

"Celebrate? Oh no, no. Not necessary."

"Yes. I'll be your babysitter, you go out and have fun."

"I don't like doing things by myself. How about I find a babysitter other than you, and you come with me?"

"Me, come with you? What if you find a hot guy and you wanna go hit it?"

"That's not happening. I wanna go out and have fun, but with you. Come on."

"Oh alright. Tomorrow night. You. Me. Gay bars. Got it?"

"Gay bars? Really? You're so basic."

"Oh you'll love it."

-

I got in Scott's car after I informed the baby sitter of all the rules, "Looking good sir." Scott said to me as I sat down.

"Why thank you. Same to you sir."

"You ready for this?"

"I don't think so, but I trust you."

"Good. We're gonna have so much fun." He started up his car and we made our way to the gay bars.

-

"Scott I'm nervous. I've never been to any bar before nonetheless a gay bar."

"You'll be alright. I promise."

"Have you ever been to one? A gay bar."

"A couple times, yeah. Before I took over the company and had responsibility. I was always at some type of bar. I never went home with anyone though so remember that."

"What if I get asked?"

"Make up an excuse."

"Like I'm with you."

"Whatever your little self desires." We walked into the bar and I immediately felt overwhelmed. There were guys everywhere. Most of them having less than half of their clothing on.

"Oh. My. God." I whispered to Scott. The music was loud and weird sounding but I actually enjoyed it.

"You'll enjoy it Mitch. I promise." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards the bar.

"How will we get home if we're drunk?"

"I'll call an Uber. But don't worry about anything tonight Mitch. You're a free man now!" I could hardly hear Scott over the thrashing music. I took a sip of the glass he handed me.

"It's not too bad."

"My theory is, it doesn't matter what it tastes like as long as it does the job. Stick with that."

"What exactly is the job it has to do?" I yelled to him.

"Make you have a great time!"
