A/N: An important announcement regarding update schedule at the end of this chapter.

"Lily. Restrain them," in a fit of desperation, I carelessly ordered my maid.

"Certainly."

Chains burst forth from Lily's sleeves and skirt, making one wonder if my maid hid a fourth dimension underneath her clothes or something.

With a simple swing of her arms, the monstrosity of chains swept across the room. With their absolute force of binding, the chains wrapped themselves around the limbs of my assailants, catching all of them by surprise.

Quite the accurate and comprehensive capture, Lily.

"What shall I do with them?" before the brutish nobles could even fully process the situation, Lily was already requesting her next order.

"Bring them here. No need for comfort," I growled, still mildly upset at my nearly crushed throat.

Lily twisted her wrist, then pulled hard. Despite her small stature, Lily managed to pull back slightly more than half a dozen people at once, dragging them violently across the gravel, probably setting their exposed skin on fire in the process.

"What a bunch of failures. Wouldn't you agree, Lily?" for the first time, I didn't have to act to express what this body was truly meant for.

"Distasteful," Lily frowned in agreement.

"What's the meaning of this!? Unhand me this instant!" what appears to be the leader of the group protested, failing her hands around in futility as she struggled against Lily's chains.

"So..." I crouched down slowly, tucking the hems of my skirt beneath my legs. "Do you know who I am?"

My captive only snarled at me, providing a negative to my question. Well, I suppose it was hard to recognize me through all the bandages.

"Do you know who I am!?" she redirected the question back to me.

"I do, actually. Met you once. First daughter of a count, hm?"

"Then you shou—" she stopped herself as she came to a realization. "You...met me before?"

"Maybe. A ball or something? Party? Don't remember. Your face was too forgettable, even though it was just a year ago. Maybe burning a scar on your face would make it more memorable?" I giggled.

"B...Bathory..." it seems she finally recognized me from my unscrupulous grin, which I wasn't quite sure if it was a good thing or not.

"So you do know me. Should have said so earlier, shouldn't you? Well, the rest of you can go. Since this girl knows me, she can take responsibility for the lot of you...unless, of course, you wish to suffer through this together," I waved my hand dismissively.

It was rather hilarious watching all her lackeys abandon her, and even more entertaining when the leader's face descended into one that of betrayed despair. Ah, no good. This was bringing out my sadistic tendencies.

"Are you alright?" and thus, an angelic hand was offered to me...the me who was still recovering from being choked, that is.

"Yes, I just need a couple of seconds to breathe..."

You can't trick me, you two faced brat! Also, what happened to not wanting to save Rin me because of your ruined face? Was that a lie!? You can't just go and steal my credit now!

"I didn't know you were the compassionate kind, Bathory," the prince laughed as he helped Rin me up.

"And I didn't know you were the two faced kind, Your Highness," I rolled my eyes. "Actually, scratched that. I already knew."
