While on the rescue mission, Steve releases all of the captured soldiers and manages to find Bucky alive and seemingly safe. Steve unstraps him from the table and he takes his best friend out of there. Although, one of the first things Bucky asks is if it had hurt Steve to become Captain America. Steve only replies with “a little”, even though it hurt him a lot. It proves that Bucky doesn’t care that he’s hurting, he just wants to make sure that Steve isn’t in any pain and that he’s going to be okay ( most likely because of Steve’s health condition before the serum ). And it proves that Steve will say just about anything to ease Bucky’s mind from worrying about him.
