Chapter 8

"You two back for the usual"? Marlene asked as they walked in.

Chloe looked at Alix for the answer. She nodded.

"Yes please, Mrs Cesaire" Chloe said and they left to the dining room, leaving behind the shocked cook.

"You know, we should sneak out" Alix said as they sat down.

"What"?! Chloe whisper-yelled. "Are you insane"?!

"It would be fun, haven't you been wanting to leave, maybe even for one second"? Chloe shook her head. "Well I'm going out and you can decide if you want to follow or not" Alix said.

"But..." Chloe trailed off as their cake was served. "It's raining" she looked out the window.

"You're telling me you've never went out in the rain"? Alix asked surprised. Chloe smiled innocently. "Oh girl, you're missing out".

"What's there to miss, it's literally a shower in a bigger space and with clothes on" Chloe pointed out.

"You'll never know unless you try it" Alix sang with a mischievous smile. "Fine, let's do it" Chloe finally agreed. Alix grinned and started to eat.

"What's taking you so long"? Chloe complained as she waited outside Alix's door.

"I bet you take way longer to get dressed then I do, Bourgeois". Alix snapped.

"You're probably right there" she laughed. Alix opened the door and Chloe stared at her outfit.

She was wearing a spaghetti strap tank top that had her signature green snakes on it, black jean shorts and her usual shoes.

What Chloe liked most about the outfit was it showed a lot of skin. "What the hell am I thinking"? she scolded herself.

"You alright"? Alix asked. "Yeah fine" Chloe smiled.

She was wearing a plain black tank top with a singular bee on the front, jean shorts and her usual black and white shoes.

"Ready to go"? Alix said, excitedly. "You're way too excited about this" Chloe commented.

Alix ignored her and flicked her short hair before strutting down the hall.

"Don't you copy me Kubdel"! Chloe yelled jokingly and followed her to the elevator.

Alix pressed the number 3 and the doors closed.

"Why aren't we going to the main lobby"? Chloe asked. "Do you want to be seen"? Alix sighed and explained her plan.

"The lobby is filled with cameras, but the stairs aren't so if we want to leave without getting seen, that's the way to do it".

Chloe nodded. "But what about the last door, leading to the alley, won't the alarm go off"?

"It needs a staff key to open and I stole one from a housekeepers pocket" Alix held up the card.

"You're a criminal"! Chloe gasped.

"I guess I am but what does that make you"? Alix crossed her arms and smirked.

"The master mind behind everything" Chloe grinned.

"You wish".

The elevator signaled the third floor and they got off, running to the other end to the stairs.

Alix peeked inside the door to see if anyone was there. "All clear, let's go".

Chloe followed her down, pass the 2 remaining levels and out the door to freedom.

"This IS fun"! Chloe said.

"Told you it'd be great" Alix laughed. The two girls ran down the street away from the hotel.
