You ever had one of those dreams where you're with the person you love but then everything just goes horribly wrong?
Alix woke up in the middle of the night, in cold sweat and couldn't fall back asleep.
She knew some of the situations weren't even possible but some of them were completely reasonable.
Like Chloe's mom coming back to Paris to find her daughter courting another girl. Rich, but a girl nonetheless. "Audrey Bourgeois is literally the worst" Alix thought.
She got up to get a glass of water and found her dad in the living room. "Why are you up, sweetie" He asked.
"Couldn't sleep, you"? She got water and sat down beside him. "Do you like Chloe Bourgeois"? Alim faced her.
Alix blushed despite the fact she was scared of what he'd say if she said yes. "I'm fine with it". Alix let out a breath of relief. "I can't date her, dad" she frowned.
"And why's that"? He asked. "Audrey Bourgeois, she's not big on the LGBTQ community" Alix blinked back tears.
"Oh sweetie, come here" Her father pulled her into a hug. "Doesn't her mother live in New York"? Alix nodded. "So there's no big deal, she can't stop you" Alim told her.
"You'd be ok with that"? Alix asked. He nodded and looked at a picture of his wife. "Your mother would be proud of you and Jalil, both standing up for what you believe in". Alix smiled proudly.
"Now, off to bed, you don't need to worry about anything" Alim said. "Thanks dad, goodnight" Alix got up and left the room.
Alix slid back into bed and hugged herself. Even if her dad worked a lot, he still managed to be there for her when she needed him.

Chloe woke up, stressed. "What am I going to wear"?! She yelled while throwing her drawers open."How about this, Mademoiselle"? Jean- Yves held up some clothes. "Yes"! She took them. "Thank you". Chloe ran into her bathroom and got changed.
She was now wearing a yellow and black top with white high-waisted jeans and some black boots. She came back out and looked in the mirror. "Perfect".
"The usual for your hair, Miss Chloe"? Jean asked. Chloe looked at her hair. Alix liked it when it was down...
"I think I'll keep it down today" She said and brushed the tangles out of it. "I'll go get your breakfast then" He saw himself out.
"I hope Alix likes my outfit" Chloe whispered to herself.
———
Chloe wasn't the only one freaking out about her outfit. "Why must I be so tomboy"! Alix yanked clothes out of her dresser."Why don't you let me handle this" Jalil sat Alix down on her bed and looked through her clothes. When he had an outfit and he handed it to his sister.
"Do I even want to put this on"? She asked. "Just put the outfit on" Jalil snapped and left the room.
Alix rolled her eyes and put it on. She wore black ripped jeans with a cropped hoodie that had snakes and roses down the arms. "I so could've picked this myself" She said to herself.
"Bye sis, enjoy impressing Chloe" Jalil yelled from the living room.
"Bye stupid"! She yelled back. "Alya is going to question my outfit choice so much"
———
Alix watched Chloe's limo pull up to the school like everyday. "I can't just go up to her and tell her, I need a good moment" she thought.Chloe stepped out of the car and Alix's jaw dropped. She had her hair down and was wearing the prettiest outfit. Alix hurried up the stairs before she got noticed.
