Chapter 9

The duo slipped back into the hotel and back up to Chloe's room without being noticed.

"No offense but security here, sucks" Alix said as she grabbed two towels from Chloe's bathroom.

"Worked in our favor though" she said. Alix draped one towel over Chloe's shoulders before pulling her own around her.

"You should go get your pajamas on" Chloe said, looking at her wet clothes. "I actually didn't pack enough" Alix said with a shrug.

"Oh I might have a pair" Chloe rummaged through her drawers and closet before pulling out some clothes. It was a simple two piece that was black and green.

"Thinking of me when you bought those"? Alix teased.

"Haha, no but I may have been into these two colors for like 10 minutes" Chloe handed the shirt and shorts to Alix.

"Thank you" she went into the bathroom and got changed. She came back out to see Chloe wearing a Bunnyx inspired two piece.

"Nice outfit" Alix tried not to smirk too much. "Thanks" Chloe fell onto her couch and switched the tv on.

"I thought we already watched mostly every movie" Alix said and flopped down beside her. "Well we can always watch a horror movie" she suggested.

Chloe frowned. "Not a big fan" she said. " We could watch a comedy horror" Alix took the remote and searched it up.

"Do those even exist"? Chloe watched her click the movie. "Yes and they're funny, I promise you" Alix pressed play. By the end of the movie, the two girls were in tears.

"That was hilarious"! Chloe laughed. "More people need to watch that" Alix chuckled. They calmed down and Jean- Luc came in with their supper.

"I didn't order anything" Chloe said. "I did, when you fell asleep for that brief moment" Alix said. "Oh, thanks".

They sat and ate like usual. "So I'm leaving tomorrow" Alix said.

Chloe frowned sadly. Alix noticed and tried to make her feel better.

"At least we're in the same class at school". Chloe perked back up. "Don't you sit right behind me"?

"Like every year" Alix snickered. "I guess I didn't really notice" Chloe said, sheepishly.

"I'm offended" Alix put a hand to her heart and pretended to faint. "I'm sorry, ok" Chloe laughed.

"I know you are, Chlo".

They finished eating and Chloe found Alix's phone. She turned it on and it had over 20 messages.

"Shouldn't you check these"? She asked. "I'm not concerned about it" Alix said. Chloe swiped it open and saw the old messages from the group chat.

Skaterqueen- Would you believe me if I said it's not completely horrible?
Ladyblogger- She's been influenced, everyone run
Clumsybaguette- Chloe not being terrible? I'll believe it when I see it
Naturelover- If Alix said she's being nice then why shouldn't we trust her?
Ladyblogger- Because Chloe will never be nice, she's too much of a rich brat
Skaterqueen- I'm rich too, you know
Ladyblogger- Well... you're not a brat
Skaterqueen- Bye girls

Chloe smiled when she saw what Alix had said.

Even though Alya had said she was a demon and a brat and Marinette didn't believe Alix, her answer made her smile.

Though it made Chloe wonder what she thought about being quarantined with her now after everything.

Chloe snapped a selfie on Alix's snapchat and tagged herself before posting it on her story.

"Screw you if you don't like me, people" Chloe whispered and hit the post button.

"What are you doing"?

Chloe turned off the phone and laid it down. "Nothing" she said.

Alix tapped the bed, inviting Chloe beside her.

"So I was wondering, did you enjoy being locked up with me"? Chloe asked as she laid down.

"I have to admit, I did" Alix answered. "I was going to ask you the same because I can be annoying at times or so I've been told".

Chloe stared at her in disbelief. "No, you're the opposite of annoying, you're fun to hang out with" Chloe said. "Who called you annoying"?

"Nath, it was probably a joke though" Alix said. "That tomato boy is gonna get it" Chloe pretended to crack her knuckles.

"You can't hurt my child"! Alix sat up quickly. Chloe sat up too and grinned.

"Why not, I must defend my Allykins' self esteem". Alix laughed and stood up.

"I should get to bed" She said, internally sighing. "Today was our last full day together" Chloe realized.

"I'll see you tomorrow morning, Bourgeois" Alix hugged her. Chloe hugged her back.

They pulled away and Alix turned to leave. She stopped when she felt a tug on her arm.

She turned back to Chloe. "You could stay" Chloe whispered with a weird shyness.

Alix didn't answer and just stared at the blonde, her heart beating fast.

"I mean if you want"! Chloe said, quickly. Alix smiled softly. Chloe liked her soft smile. "Sure" she said.

They each got in bed and Chloe turned the lights off. Alix laid in bed with a blush on her cheeks.

If she were able to see in the dark, she'd see that Chloe had the same look.

Chloe was fine with people leaving. Her mother left and she was ok. Lots of people had left Chloe's life.

But even though she'd see Alix, she figured they wouldn't be around each other much at school.

With Alix being friends with everyone else in the class, time with her might be hard to get.

"Chloe, are you ok"? Alix tapped the blondes forehead lightly. She giggled and swatted her hand away.

"I'm ok, I swear" she said.

They were in Alix's room, getting her things packed. "I'm still surprised you didn't bring you rollerblades" Chloe said.

"Honestly same" Alix zipped up her bag. "All ready to go" she sighed.

"Let's go have one last lunch together and reminisce over the things we did" Chloe grabbed Alix's hand and pulled her out of the room.

They got to Chloe's room and it was all set up. After a long meal, Alix dragged her suitcase behind her as she and Chloe went to the main lobby.

They found both their dads and Jalil talking to one another.

"Hey sweetie, how was your stay"? Alim said as he noticed them.

Alix looked at Chloe and grinned. "It was great" she said.

Jalil raised an eyebrow, knowing that the two of them weren't very good friends before all this.

"Well we enjoyed having you here, Miss Alix" André said. Alix looked like she was going to jump out a window if she heard that one last time.

"See you tomorrow at school" Chloe's smiled melted into a smirk. "Miss Alix".

Alix shot her an amused glare and they all walked to the door. "Bye Chlo"! Alix waved.

"Bye Allykins"! She waved back, a blush forming on her face.

That's when she decided she did have a crush on Alix Kubdel.
