"What happened?" I asked as everyone stared at me as I came in from outside, "its adam" monte said. Even his name got me angry "what about him" I said through gritted teeth, ashley shot me a look like something clicked in her head. "Have you guys had a tiff? Hes been locked in his room all morning and night" she said. "No, maybe hes tired" I said shrugging, "Please tommy try and talk to him me and monte cant even get him to let us in" she begged.
"Talking to me isnt going to help believe me" I said crossing my arms, "please tommy just try for me" she said giving me puppy dog eyes. "Urgh fine" I said as she smirked knowing I couldnt resist them eyes, "thank you tommy!" she said hugging me tightly. "Ok cant breathe" I said as she laughed and let me go. I stood up and walked through the bus to adams room, ashley and monte stood a bit away from me as I knocked on the door.
I cleared my throat, "adam its me tommy can you let me in please" I said. I looked over my shoulder at ashley and monte as I heard the lock click, I gently pushed the door open. It was dark inside with all the curtains drawn, I gently pushed the door and picked my way across the room almost tripping over the boots or something that were on the floor. "Adam im opening the blinds" I said feeling my way across the room until I found the string and pulled.
Sunlight flooded into the room as I saw there were clothes strewn on the floor, my eyes ajusted to the light as I spotted adam laying on the bed with his face in the pillow. Empty bottles lay on the floor next to him, something black was smeared over the pillow as I bent down and saw it was eyeliner. I kicked an empty whisky bottle as It rolled gently across the floor clunking against the wooden leg of the bed.
My hand hovered abouve him as I sighed and placed my hand on his shoulder, I felt him tense but he didnt move. "Look adam ashley and monte are worried about you" I said, I heard him mumble something like go away as he curled up witht he pillow. I glanced at ashley who was standing in the doorway and shrugged, "take the pillow away" ashley mouthed. "Look adam im not joking please look at me" I said gently shaking him.
He let out a shaky breath and looked up at me through his fringe, he looked like shit. His hair was tangled, his blue eyes red and cloudy, his cheeks were flushed with eyeliner streaked down them. "Damn look at the state of you" I whispered the tips of my fingers running down the streaks. "Im sorry tommy I didnt mean to" he said quietly, "but you did adam do you know how that made me feel?" I said.
"I got carried away I didnt mean to hurt you tommy you mean more to me than anyone, I didnt want to hurt you" he said his voice cracking. "But you did, you made me feel uncomfortable you know im straight adam" I said, "I know ok im not stupid" he said. "Then why kiss me!" I said as ashley and monte gasped, "wait hold up you kissed tommy?" ashley said. "Even though hes not gay?" monte replied.
"Yes I kissed tommy ok, im a stupid idiot for doing it. You really think I dont know that? You think I dont feel shit enough about making him feel like that without being reminded?" he shouted as tears ran down his face. Ive never seen him so angry I moved away a little, "just go ok leave me alone!" he shouted as they filtered outside and adam slid to the floor putting his face in his hands.
"Wow that was unexpected" ashley said as she stood outside the door, "yeah why didnt you tell us?" monte said. "Because I didnt" I replied, "but he kissed you tommy why are you so cool about that?" ashley said. I shook my head really they have literally got no idea how I was really feeling, "believe me you have no idea" I said.
"Enlighten us?" monte said, "no enough look it doesnt matter I need to see if hes ok I just need 10 minutes" I said as they nodded. I took a deep breath and pushed open the bedroom door. Adam didnt look up as I knelt down in front of him and pulled his hands away, "well that was a little extreame dont you think?" I said as he sighed. "You know drinking yourself silly isnt going to help matters" I told him sitting down in front of him, "I dont care" he answered.
"Well I do, youre a total idiot and you kissing me like that well it really messed me up. Its making me doubt so much that I know and I dont like that feeling one bit. Im straight adam, I have a girlfriend I cant let myself think for one second that it might not be true. Youre my best friend and I love you as a friend but this. This isnt the answer, we need to forget it happened and carry on" I said.
"Tommy dont you see, I well" he started, "you what?" I questioned. "Nothing" he answered, "ok well lets tidy you up" I said finding his makeup remover wipes from the side and opening them. I ran it over his cheeks as his blue eyes stayed on mine, I traced his cheekbones with the wipe and over the freckles that sprinkled on his nose. Over his freckled lips and round his jaw, how can one guy be so beautiful?
I cleared my thoat "close your eyes" I said as he did as he was told, his long lashes fanned over his cheeks as I wiped off the smudge eyeliner from around his eyes. I gently moved his hair from his face tracing the lines on his forehead with my thumb, he visibly relaxed at my touch as I moved my hand and put the wipe down. "You can open them now" I said quietly as I grabbed the wipes my fingertips brushing with his as I blushed.
"Thank you" he whispered keeping his eyes firmly locked to mine, I held his gaze taking in how flawless he looked even without makeup. "I need to get dressed" he said blushing as I tore my gaze from his, "y.yes I'll erm wait outside" I said standing up and rushing from the room. I heard his soft laugh as I leant against the door, what the hell just happened in there.
