It's the third week of my freshman year of high school and I've already somehow managed to get involved with some of the weirdest shit I've ever seen in my life. I'm talking vampires, witches, and cults. What's next? Frankenstein? I'm hoping not...

I walked through the hallways of Whitechapel High with my friends Benny and Ethan. They were conversing about the recent events that had happened here in town in the past two weeks. I wasn't having the best day, nor the best week, so I decided not to speak much unless needed, so
I slowly trudged behind Benny as he spoke to Ethan.

"Think about it, dude," He started, "Anything we want. Cash, cars, candy," Benny listed off, all giddy-like.

"So you only use magic spells for stuff that starts with C?" Ethan questioned, furrowing his eyebrows and looking up at the boy.

Benny sighed at Ethan, "Once we were lowly high school noobs, now we're vampire-killing, spell-casting, rockstars," He told me and Ethan, trying to prove a point.

"We're still lowly high school noobs," I told him, adjusting the flannel around my waist.

"That's not the point," Benny started up again, "the point is that world is our oyster!"

"Have you actually ever had oysters?" Ethan asked him, "Not something you wanna swallow."

"More like something you cough up," I chimed in after Ethan, smirking.

I grasped onto my book bag straps and began to try and keep up with them more. They were way, way taller than me, so their strides were more lengthy, so they went faster than I did.

"Yeah, nice," Benny looked in between me and Ethan with a look of disgust, "Nice image to start the day," I shrugged as we came to a stop in the middle of the hallway, causing me to run into Ethan's arm.

"Ow..." I groaned, "Why did we stop?" I rubbed my arm and furrowed my eyebrows to try and see what the two boys were staring at, especially Benny.

Benny was stopped dead in his tracks, gawking at a blonde girl standing in the middle of the hallway talking with her friends. She looked sort of uncomfortable and upset.

Benny stared some more at the poor girl standing in front of us, "There's the image I need..." He said dreamily. He turned to Ethan who was also eyeing the girl, "I know you're the seer and all, but I can see her with me."

I rolled my eyes, now realizing who they were talking about. They were talking about a girl in our grade. Her name is Della, a girl Benny has had a crush on for almost forever. His crushing on her was kind of tiring for me and Ethan considering he always got us into some sort of trouble when he did the things he did to try to impress her.

"Keep the magic on the down low, remember?" Ethan told him, "Life just got back to normal."

"Yeah, please don't screw normality up for the rest of us with your magic tricks," I told him, putting a hand on his shoulder.
