I was laying on Ethan's bed playing a game on my phone while Ethan was looking up stuff about vampires on his computer. Benny had already gone home for the night and we were waiting on Sarah to get back from getting a book that Ethan had asked to borrow from her.

There was a knock on Ethan's bedroom door and the door opened up. It was his mom and she had a laundry basket in her hands, "Hi." She said, entering his room, Ethan looked at her clicking off of the website he was on, his computer making a beeping noise. She looked over towards his bed to see me laying there on my phone, "Oh hi, Ophelia." His mom said, smiling at me.

"Hi, Mrs. Morgan," I replied, my eyes darting from my phone and to her, returning the smile, then looking back down at my phone.

"Sorry to interrupt," Mrs. Morgan apologized, "Just dropping something off," She told him, pointing to the laundry basket.

"Hey, mom," Ethan said, turning around in his computer chair to look at her.

"Yeah?" She asked, me shifting my legs a little to the side so she could put the laundry basket down on his bed.

"You ever, like..." Ethan started, "see things?" He questioned her, curiously, "Like, things that aren't there?" He asked, looking at her for an answer.

"Are we, um, talking about drugs?" She asked him, going to the end of his bed and sitting down.

I struggled to hold in a laugh as Ethan looked towards me and gave me a face that said, "knock it off", so I did.

Ethan laughed a little bit, "No," He said to her, "Like, a vision," Ethan corrected, "Or strange images that just appear?" He asked.

"No, I don't think so, honey," She said, shaking her head, and smiling at him.

"Okay..." He said, quietly.

"But there was...this one time," Mrs. Morgan began, "I used to watch you sleep when you were a baby," She told him, and Ethan started to smile a little bit, "One night, I had this image of you, and you were all grown up, and you were strong and smart, and decent," His mom said to him as he shook his head and looked down, "And I knew then that you were going to do great things one day," She said, nodding.

"Thanks, mom," Ethan said, smiling.

"But you do know that if you ever touch drugs your father and I will have to kill you," Mrs. Morgan said in the most serious tone ever, making me burst out laughing, having to grab Ethan's pillow and slam it over my face to suppress myself from laughing.

Footsteps were heard from the door and Ethan responded, "Uh, got it!" He said, "Okay..." Ethan chuckled nervously.

I took the pillow off of my face and put it back and looked back down at my phone, trying to calm myself down.
