It was about nine-thirty PM on Sunday night. The echoes of Ethan's younger sister, Jane, watching Dusk echoed against the walls of his house as Benny, Ethan, and I carried in arms full of snacks for tonight's "celebration".

"Look at all this!" Ethan said, putting the stuff down on the table, Benny and I doing the same thing.

"What'd you do? Rob an ice cream truck or something?" I questioned Benny, putting the last of the snacks I was carrying onto Ethan's table.

"Tomorrow we officially join the high school brotherhood," Benny told us.

"Um," I hummed, "and sisterhood," I told him, "You guys keep forgetting I'm a girl," I rolled my eyes, grabbing a seat in between the two of them.

"Sorry," Benny apologized, sheepishly as Ethan struggled to open a bag of marshmallows.

"We're men," Benny said, sitting down on one side of me. I turned towards him and glared at him, "and women..." he added, putting up his hands in defeat.

"We must mark the moment," I said, happily.
Yeah, sure. I would miss middle school, but at least I know these two dorkwads aren't gonna leave me alone anytime soon, and I would like to keep it that way, at least.

"Let's make it the Sunday, to end all Sundays," Ethan said to us, us all saying the last "Sunday" in unison.

Benny started to open the pack of marshmallows for himself. He had bought one pack of marshmallows.

"Remember in grade five when you put one-seventy-six of these in your mouth?" Ethan asked Benny in awe.

"Yeah, right!" Benny said, "It was one-eighty-six!" He claimed.

"No way," I said, shaking my head, "I did one-seventy-two; you did one-seventy-six," I explained to him.

"You barely hit one-fifty!" Benny told me, giving me a slight punch in the arm.

Benny looked down at the hole ripped into the middle of the bag of marshmallows and looked at me and Ethan. All three of us looked at each other. I squinted my eyes and slowly reached for a marshmallow. Just as I almost had one of the marshmallows out of the bag, they attacked my hand in the process of trying to get their marshmallows out.

"I got it," Ethan grunted, jamming his hand into the bag.

"No, mine!" I said, trying to get my hand around one of the marshmallows, my hand getting squished in between Benny and Ethan's.

"Mine!" Benny yelled, "Mine!" He grabbed a few of the marshmallows and started to pile them on the table.

"Remember to count them," Ethan warned as the three of us eventually got a few out of the bag and began to start our marshmallow piles.

We stuffed our faces full of marshmallows, trying to see who could fit the most in their mouth, just trying to have the most fun we could have in the span of seven hours.
