"Boom! Did a bomb just go off in my head? No, it's the Devils when we beat you black and red,"Erica, Sarah, and I heard while we walked down the hallway, "Call a nurse call a doctor call your mama too, 'cause you're gonna need help when we're finished with you. Go, Devils!" The cheerleaders at the end of the hall cheered, as we turned the corner.

It was mid-September, which means sports are going to start recruiting people for teams at Whitechapel, and it just so happens that cheerleading tryouts were today. I used to do cheer when I was younger, around the age of nine, but I grew out of it and it was no longer fun.

Sarah grabbed onto Erica's arm, preventing her from walking over to them, "Erica! Please tell me you're not doing what I think you're doing," She said, the three of us stopping in the middle of the hall.

"What?" Erica questioned, "It's just cheerleading," She told Sarah while she picked at her nails, "I thought you said you wanted us to be normal," Erica brought up.

"It's okay, but I think it needs to be more like..." One of the cheerleaders was saying, as I furrowed my eyebrows at the gaggle of girls. The cheerleader, who I presumed was the captain of the cheer squad, rolled her pompoms in a circle, "this," She said, swinging her arm out and hitting a passing bystander's books out of their arms, giving her a sweet smile as she shrugged, "Oops," The captain said, watching as the girl she hit bent down to pick up her fallen books.

"Cheerleaders are definitely not normal," I said, turning to Erica, "Do you really wanna be one of them? They're more evil than you guys, and you're vampires," I told her, shaking my head and crossing my arms.

"Guys," Erica started, "I've told you how I always wanted to be a cheerleader," She reminded us, "And now that I'm really hot," Erica turned towards us, "I can. Besides, these girls have been telling me to "bite them" for years," She said, flashing her fangs and winking at us.

"Yeah...I don't think that's what they had in mind," I told her.

"Oh, come on," Erica pleaded, "Who's gonna miss just one?" She asked me, walking towards the signup table, leaving me and Sarah standing by ourselves.

Sarah and I gave each other a look and widened our eyes at each other.

"I will!" A familiar voice said from behind us.

Sarah and I turned around to see Benny and Ethan walking towards us, Benny having an expression of disbelief on his face.

"Isn't this kind of like letting Magneto join the X-Men?" Ethan asked, looking back and forth between me, Benny, and Sarah.

"It's exactly like letting Magneto join the X-Men," I responded, turning to look over my shoulder at the cheer squad, then turning back towards Ethan.

"I'll assume that's "geek speak" for a fox in the henhouse thing," Sarah assumed, Benny, Ethan, and I all shrugging in agreement, "If you have any ideas on how we're supposed to stop her, I'm all ears," She told the two boys.
