Nothing special or remotely interesting has happened since the whole pep rally event occurred. Part of me was happy nothing was going on, and the other part of me was sick and tired of being bored. The things that happened to me, Ethan, Benny, and occasionally Rory, Sarah, and Erica, were nonetheless interesting. I guess I was just in some mood, craving some sort of riveting, mysterious thing to pop out of nowhere to fuel my adventurous state, but instead, I was strolling down the school hallway wedged in between Benny and Rory both while Ethan followed behind us with an annoyed face.

Rory and Benny were having a conversation about some robot, probably from a TV show, movie, or video game they had recently watched or played over the weekend.

"He's a huge, awesome robot," Rory described, "All he'd have to do is yank on the warp engine nacelles," He said to Benny, leaning towards him.

Benny furrowed his eyebrows at the blond as we turned the corner of the hallway, "Okay," He spoke up, making hand gestures, "that's like saying a dude could fight a boat!" Benny slapped his hands against his sides.

"Guys, just..." Ethan stammered, "Can't we do this in a girl-free zone?" He asked, looking around at all the other girls in the hallway beside me.

I glared at him as he nervously glanced around, "Girl-free zone?" I pondered. They're always so comfortable talking about their geek stuff around me. Why does it matter now?

Benny rolled his eyes at Ethan and they started to turn another corner, passing by Sarah and Erica.
They stood at the corner of the hall, just chatting away.

"Um," I hummed, falling behind in the hallway, "I'll catch up with you guys later!" I called to them as they walked further down the hall. The only one who heard me say anything was Rory, who turned around and waved goodbye.

I smiled and returned the wave and turned on my heels, waltzing over to Sarah and Erica, digging my fingernails into my school bag's straps.

"So, how was your date last night?" I heard Sarah ask Erica as she crossed her arms and leaned up against the wall.

"Ooo," I bustled, "Erica went on a date?" I chimed in, joining in their conversation.

Erica shot me a confident smirk, "Yes, in fact, I did," She told me, looking in my direction, then quickly turned her focus back to Sarah, answering her, "Ah! Amazing," She said in admiration as she threw her head back and looked at the ceiling with a euphoric expression, "Kurt is so McYummy. We went out for dinner, and then we went to go see Super Dead IV.
It was..." Erica boasted, shaking her head, glancing away for only a second, "perfect," She ended.

"Do you mean regular date perfect," Sarah asked what she meant, furrowing her eyebrows and looking and Erica with uncertainty, "or vampire date perfect?"

Erica's fangs protruded out of her mouth, "You know I don't bite and tell," She told her with a smug attitude. Erica turned over her shoulder and looked in between Sarah and me as she smiled and giggled and began to walk in the other direction.
