Chp. 20

Marissa P.O.V

Myles drive us back to my place as we tell him what happened and how we go the police chasing after us . He just said ok and that was all . It was a silent ride . Kalin wanted to me to stay over his house but I declined . I know when I get home I would have to tell my mom sooner or later what is going on .

I open the door to see my mom on the couch watching some reality show . She doesn't see me yet .

"Mom?" I say

"What is it marissa ?" She says lowering the volume down

"I have to tell you something " I say

"Your not pregnant are you ?" She says serious

"Really mom . I'm a virgin " I say

"Good almost scared momma .. Go on " she says urging me

"Today there was a fight between Dylan and kalin at that new teen club and we got kicked out and then kalin punched the owner because he roughly grabbed my arm and then the police was going to take us to jail but we ran away from them and we called Myles to pick us up and now I dump Dylan because he called me a slut and I'm with kalin now" I blurt off really fast

She just looks at me for a second "Have you lost your mind marissa !"

"No I haven't mom " I say

"Did you think I be okay with my daughter almost getting arrested ?" she says and I flinch at her tone

"No I just thought you should know before you hear before anyone else " I say with a weak smile

"Your killing me marissa" she says rubbing her temples

"But you love it " I say

"Your uh your uh ... Forget it Just go to bed " she says with a sad smile

I nod and walk to my room and I see Mariah there with a smirk . "Mariah shut up I don't wanna hear it " I say

"Aww is the trouble maker mad " she days sarcastically

"Fuck off " I say walking to my room and laying on my bed . I get up and walk to the bathroom and put my pajamas on and put my hair in a messy bun .

I turn the light off and get into the blankets and sleep takes over my body .

***** next day ****

I cry because I have school like why can't I be homeschooled . But I get up and do the same routine . I put on blue skinny jeans with rips in the front and vanilla sweater . I put on my moccasins and put my hair in a ponytail.

I leave the room and I see my mom is in a really great mood today .

"What's going on?" I say taking a seat in the kitchen

"You tell me " Mariah says

"I thought I make my beautiful daughters Breakfast today "she says placing eggs ,bacon, toast onto me and Mariah plate

"Cut the bullshit mom"i say

"I got offered a free one week vacation to Hawaii " she squealed

"Does that mean no school for us ?" We say together in excitement

"Hell no y'all irritate my life this is me time " she says laughing

I eat my breakfast and make my way towards school when kalin comes up to me and kisses me on the lips . I wrap my arms around him and kiss him back .

"Hey " he says

"Hey yourself "I say

"Someone in a good mood " he says as we walk to school this time

"Well my mom is leaving us home alone for a week " I say

"Where's she going ?" He says

"To Hawaii apparently she was offered it " i say putting air quotes around it

"So that means I can sleep over " he suggests

"I'll thinks about that one ... How's Myles ?" I say changing the subject

"He's good he's not mad at us .. We talked and he just thinks we need more time to write more songs if we want people to notice us " he says

"You guy guys should I don't wanna be in the way " I say

"Babe your not in the way .. But for 2 days I'll be busy with Myles " he says as we make it to the school building

"Cool maybe the girls wanna hang out and party " I say

"Are you nervous ?" He says

"About what ?" I say curious

"Dylan and Bethany " he says

"No I'm not just Bethany she could be a little ehh " I say

He nods and I see the girls waiting for me and I take my hand out of kalin to run towards them but someone grabs me instead .. Bethany

"You just had to do it " she says

"Do what ?" I say

"You have to take kalin from me " she sneers

"I didn't take kalin from you " I say walking away

"Yeah and pigs fly "she snorts

"Bethany just accept the fact that me and kalin are together " I say

"No your just a slut who jumps to guy to guy when there lonely " she spats

"The one slut here is you so why don't you go fuck yourself " a voice says

I turn around to see Arianna with a clenched fist . I see Bethany chuckle and turn towards Arianna .

"Arianna why don't you go back to your boyfriend seeing that's all you do " she says

"At least she can keep her guy for a long time unlike you " Monae says with her hand on her hip

"Whatever "she says pushing out of our way

"Thank guys I could have handle it myself " I say

"We know but that's what friends are for " they say smiling.

I run and give them a hug and we have one big group hug. We hear someone coughing and we see Myles . Jakeey , kalin .

"Can we join ?" They say

"Sure why not " I say as they join us .

We pull away and I see arianna smirk at me . I laugh and look away .

"So my mom is going away for a week and I was thinking I wanna throw a party " I say

"Hell yah " Ashley

"Yes !" Desirea says as she fist pumps the air

"I'm in !" Everyone else says

"Great it's going to be on Friday " I say

They all nod and kalin pulls me away from the others while they chat away.

"Idk if me and Myles are gonna be there because we will be in the studio mostly " he says guilty

I shake my head "it's fine we could have alone time another day "I say trying to cheer him up

"Ill see you later babe " he says pecking my lips as he walks away

I go back to the group and catch up with everything that is happening and I think how grateful I am for my friends .

Sorry for the late update I was trying to get ideas on what to put in the chapter for this week . Also the book is almost over just a few more chapters and then a epilogue!

I'm still thinking if i would write a sequel for this book . :)
