Chapter 21: True Lab

-Time skip to after helping Undyne with Alphys at Waterfall.-

Logan's Point of View

"Alphys?!" Aiden said knocking on the metal door. It opened quickly, the once bright lab was dark, the trashcan overflowing with crinkled up papers.

Matthew stepped forwards, a noise came from under his foot. He had stepped in a large pile of envelopes, he stepped into the dark lab and bent down.

"What are these?" He asked.

"Froggits, Whimsums, Greater Dog? Why would Alphys ignore these? Where is Alphys?" Red asked, deep in thought. She looked at Collin and Jonathan, who shrugged.

"Hey, look!" Collin said walking forwards, seeing a small and rolled up piece of paper on the tiles. When Collin hands it to Jonathan, he reads it, his eyes looking confused.

"Hey Logan, you might want to read this." He said giving me the letter, shaking a little bit.

'Hey,

Uh, thanks for your support. You guys are amazing together. I believe you can do everything. You even managed to heal Aiden. I feel so much safer now. But... As difficult as it to say this...

You guys alone can't make my own problems heal. And for that to happen, I must fix my own mistakes. I'm gonna start that now. I wanna be clear. This isn't your problem, but if you never hear from me again...

My eyes widened.

"Guys, we gotta go find her." I said as I remembered how Alphys looked when she heard from when Chara/Aiden took apart Mettaton, her own creation, alive.

For all I know, she could've tried to kill herself or something! We had to go down there. We piled into the elevator, Aiden pushed the button with shaking hands, remembering the pieces of metal and scrap all over.

I sighed, resting my hand against the wall as I felt the elevator went up. Red smiled at me and rested on my shoulder.

"She'll be okay. She knows Undyne would kill if she saw Alphys dead." She said, I smiled weakly back.

"Thanks." I responded, Red put the golden flower, she had, and puts it on my glasses as she fixed it.

I smiled at her a bit, as she did that while she smiled back at me, I chuckled. Suddenly, the elevator's lights went red.

"What the **** is happening?" Juan yelled, holding onto the elevator tightly, Matthew's face paled as he felt the elevator dropping.

"Oh no, NO!!!" He said shutting his eyes tightly, looking up and holding his stomach, he was paler than ever.

"Matthew, we're not gonna die!" Jonathan said rushing to his side.

"He has a fear of heights?" Red asked as Collin nodded, while Jonathan rubbed Matthew's shoulder.

"Dude, chill-"

"HOW THE **** AM I SUPPOSED TO ******** CHILL?!?" Matthew groaned, interrupting Juan.

Collin walked towards them, but a sudden jolt made Matthew nearly screamed louder and Collin stumbled.

"Hey!" Aiden said while keeping Collin from falling. I helped Collin stand up while offering a small smile to Matthew.

Later the elevator landed with a huge 'BOOM,' causing all of us to fall over. I fell against the wall, Juan and Aiden fell against each other, hitting the wall.
