After boarding this super fancy private place, I sit alone, reading a magazine I brought with me. While minding my own, I see someone in my peripheral vision sit in front of me and I look up to see Hotch.
"Hey, Hotch. What's happening?" I try to say nonchalantly. I try and act cool but I ultimately make a fool myself. Again.
What's happening? I think to myself. God, what am I doing.
"Uh, nothing much. Just wanted to check on you. You okay? You're a little red," Hotch asks, little to no emotion showing in his features.
"I'm all fine. My hands and knees are feeling better from this morning too," I giggle and he half-smiles.
"I'm still sorry I tripped you," Hotch says.
"You're fine, Hotch. Thanks for checking up on me," I say, and he nods.
"Well since you're okay, I'm going to go refind my seat and stop bothering you with my company," he says in a joking manner.
Maybe I want to be bothered by his company, but before I could really say anything, Aaron heads off. Wow, even his walk is hot. I notice myself staring and quickly fix myself, making sure nobody noticed I was checking out my boss.
"Like what you see?" Morgan sits infront of me, mockingly.
"Excuse me?" I ask politely. Well, shit.
"Hotch. You like what you see?" He repeats his question, smirking.
Absolutely, I do.
"Why do you ask that?" I ask, seeing if he noticed me staring. Obviously, he must have or else he wouldn't be asking.
"Well, as he walked off you kept your eye on him for just a little too long to just be seeing where he's going. You like Hotch?" His voice drops to a whisper and I giggle.
"It's not like that, I just met the guy today, calm down. Plus, what if I'm into bearded, muscular men?" I smile at Morgan and he laughs.
What has got into me lately with the heavy flirting??
"That's a good one, Y/L/N, but I've not seen you stare at me the way I see you stare," Morgan points behind him, "at him."
I just look at Derek and smile, as if I have no idea what he's talking about and he smiles himself, getting up and walking back over to Prentiss.
I feel the plane start to ascending and I decided to fall asleep in case I got very little rest over how many days were going to be here. But what doesn't feel like more than a few minutes is actually hours, and Derek decided to wake me up.
"Wake up Sleeping Beauty, it's time to get off," he says in a sweet, joking manner.
"Aw, you think I have beauty," I snap back. Good one, me.
"Of course you do, now let's get out of here," Derek winks.
Woah.
I place my magazine in the bag and I stand up straight, ready to go. We start to get off the plane and get into our vans.
Just great. I'm in the van with Hotchner.
I sit in the backseat like a loser while Reid sits in the front seat next to Hotch. Our ride is short and quiet as we pull into the sheriff's office.
"You guys must be the BAU. I'm Ken Adams, the sheriff here. I'm glad y'all were able to come down," Ken half smiles as he greets us.
"Nice to meet you too, Sheriff. I'm SSA Hotchner, this is Agent Y/F/N Y/L/N, and Doctor Reid," Aaron introduces us and Reid does his awkward wave as I shake the Sheriff's hand.
"I wouldn't have suspected you as an agent, little lady," Ken says, smiling at me, made me shiver to my core.
"Excuse me?" I say, looking at Ken, knowing well what he means.
"Well, it's just you're a pretty thing, aren't you?" Ken licks his upper lip and I hide how uncomfortable I get. I go to defend myself, but Aaron steps in.
"Sheriff, she is perfectly capable to handle this case and any other case we handle. I wouldn't recommend underestimating her."
There's a hint of anger in Aaron's voice and Ken nods.
"Well, I didn't mean nothing by it, but let me go ahead and show you folks where to set up," Ken walks inside, all three of us following him.
