I wake up on Spencer's couch, and rub my eyes.
"Good, you're awake. I was about to wake you up in a few minutes anyways," Spencer says, handing me some ibuprofen and water.
I didn't realize why until I stood up and my head pounded. I curse under my breath as I take the pill. I have to stop drinking like this.
"You ready to talk to Hotch today?" Spencer asks, excited.
"I don't know why you're so giddy, but okay. I am kind of, sort of, ready. I'm not going to do it until after work, that's for sure," I say, drinking some more water, "Why am I here again? Did you knock me out or something?"
"You drank the rest of my wine, and passed out watching The Golden Girls," Spencer laughs and I shake my head.
"Sorry, I'll buy you some more," I say, standing up.
"No, you're fine. I don't drink much anyway. I got it out for you. I can drive you to your apartment to get some new clothes," Spencer says, grabbing his car keys and jacket.
"Yeah, please," I say. I stand up and grab my stuff and we head out to his car and get in.
The ride to my apartment is short and silent and I rush in and change into a red v-neck and some skinny jeans. I rush back outside and hop into Spencer's car.
"I'm ready," I says, buckling up.
"Good, we don't have time to pick up your car, so we'll just head to work," Spencer states, driving out of the parking lot, "H- Hope you don't mind riding with me."
Spencer smiles awkwardly after stuttering, causing me to giggle. I ruffle his hair and smile at him to let him know it's okay. Driving with Spencer alone is actually.. nice. It feels natural.
He drives to the Bureau and I charge my phone, with any time we have in the car ride.
"We're here. What are you going to say to him?" Spencer asks.
"I'll figure it out eventually," I sigh, getting out.
Spencer and I head to the sixth floor and I get to my desk while he heads to the Penelope's office.
"You look.. Dead-like," Emily says and J.J. smacks her.
"I'm hungover," I bluntly say, rubbing my temples.
"Again? Oh. And with Spencer?" Derek smiles and I nod.
"Yeah, we had dinner last night and drank through the dinner. What about it?" I lean back on my chair, pretending to ignore the obvious.
"I'm pretty sure Spencer has a little thing for you," Derek smirks.
"No, I'm sure he doesn't," I sit back up and look at Derek, "It wouldn't matter, because I don't see him like that. He's just a really great guy."
I see them look behind me and I see Spencer.
"Spence-" I go to say and he shakes his head and turns right back out of the glass doors.
"Great," I sigh and head off chasing him.
"Spencer," I say and he turns around.
"What?" Spencer huffs, turning around.
"Do you actually have romantic feelings for me..?" I ask, nervous I hurt his feelings.
"Well, yeah. A little. Before I found out you liked Hotch, then I figured you were over him. When I profiled you a little more-" I cut him off.
"I thought we weren't suppose to profile each other," I snap.
"I wanted to be correct that you still didn't like him. I believed you when you said you were over him. But I guess I was wrong after I asked you to have dinner with me," Spencer says, then it hits me.
"Was last night a date?" I ask more to myself than him.
"Yes. But it's okay. I still like you, yeah, but I thought maybe if I gave you some dinner, you'd like me too," Spencer blushes.
"Oh, Spencer, I'm sorry," I apologize. God, I'm such an idiot.
"Don't be. I'm okay," Spencer smiles weakly and I nod.
"So, why'd you push me so hard with Hotch?" I ask, catching Spencer off guard.
"What?"
"When I told you about Hotch, you pushed me to talk to him. Why?"
"Well, I tried to be a good friend since I didn't want to ruin our friendship if you figured out I do like you, you know?"
I nod and hug him, saying, "Thank you, Reid. I appreciate it."
"Anytime," he steps back.
"Let's go do our work," I say and he stops me.
"Actually, I had to use the bathroom, you just stopped me. See you in there though," Spencer smiles, rushing down the hall.
I giggle and head to my desk.
