I walk into work the next day, waiting for my ibuprofen to get rid of my pounding headache and I sit at my desk.
"You okay? You went pretty hard on the alcohol last night," Derek laughs and I shake my head.
"Y/N, can I see you in my office?" Aaron says, walking out of his office.
"Ooh, you're in trouble," Emily jokes and I stand up, waving her off.
I head up the stairs easily to not shake my body more than I should. I read Hotch's door that's slightly ajar and lightly knock on it.
"You needed me?" I ask, nervous. He looks me up and down as I stand in the doorway.
"Shut the door and have a seat," Aaron says and I do as I'm told.
I shift uncomfortably trying to look out together and pretty while ignoring my nausea. However, Hotch sits there at his desk, reading over a file.
"A- Am I in trouble?" I ask.
"No. I called you in to go over how your first case was. Strauss just wants the basic questions answered. You'll do fine," He answers, showing no emotion for me to pick up on.
Damn, isn't that what I went to school for?
He begins his interview and I answer the questions honestly. He jots my answers down on the paper he has on his desk with the questions on it.
Aaron stands up and closes the blinds as I continue to answer my question. I can feel my face get heated as he sits on the corner of his desk.
"Are, uh, we done? I have work to do," I say. What is he doing?
Aaron looks like he's also trying to read my face, "No. You can go."
I hurriedly stand up with shaky fingers and brush down my pencil skirt.
"Thank you so much for this inter-" I'm stopped by Aaron's abrupt voice.
"But, before you go," Aaron says as he grabs my arm. He spins me to face him, our faces inches apart. His hot breath on my face as we lock eyes.
Hotch leans in. We lock lips, and his hands reaches my lower back pushing me towards him. My left hand rests on his chest and my other hand holds the back of his neck, pushing him closer to me.
Break for air after a minute and Aaron releases me, fixing his tie.
"You should go finish your work," Aaron says, opening the door. I nod at him.
"Y- Yeah. I'll go do that," I studder. So stupid.
I walk out to the bullpen and I sit at my desk, smiling wide.
"Someone's blushing," Derek jokes and everyone turns to me.
"Shut it, Mr. Big Shot," I joke and he smiles.
The work day feels like forever but it finishes up and I head home, still smiling.
"I kissed Aaron Hotchner," I says slyly to myself looking into my mirror, my self confidence rising. My phone vibrates.
I look at it, expecting to be a case. I open the message.
Aaron✨: We need to talk when you get a chance. See you tomorrow.
