Harry and Draco smiled at each other during breakfast which startled Hermione, Blaise and Pansy. Hermione looked really bewildered, so she asked him "Harry did you and Malfoy just smile at each other?" Harry shrugged and said "I guess he decided to deflate his head a little, so I'm 'helping' him". Hermione found that weird, but didn't say anything. They reached Potions when Draco threw a note to Harry who pocketed it before Hermione or anyone for that matter could see. After all classes had ended, he kept his bag back and read the note.
Astronomy Tower, tonight 1am. Harry smiled to himself, and made his way to dinner. There, Draco caught his eye and mouthed "you coming?" Harry nodded yes.

Harry wanted to reach the Tower early, but he couldn't find his Map, so he ended up reaching 5mins late. When he reached there a slight twinge of jealousy about Draco's hair compared to his rat's nest. He reached there, sat across Draco and thought about what would happen if he told Draco about his little, but major crush? The first thing he thought about was Draco freaking out and punching him. Negative thoughts kept coming and going and he was really close to breaking the comfortable silence with tears when Draco noticed his sadness.
"are you okay?" "mmhm" Dracoknew that wasn't an honest answer and so he knew down, next to Harry, gentlyplaced his hand on his knee and said "what's wrong?" Harry looked up and said"what would you say if I told you my crush?" Draco was taken aback because hewould probably throw that person down this Tower if it wasn't him. "Merlin, Harry,I wont say anything that judges you" Harry said "what would you say if it wasyou?" again Draco was taken aback "well, I'd probably be the happiest person onearth because my crush likes me back, but..." Draco realized what he said and hiseyes widened. He hoped that Harry didn't catch that part. "you like me?" said Harryin a small voice. Draco knew he couldn't avoid the question, so he just noddedyes and asked "do you like me?" Harry also nodded yes. That was all theconvincing Draco needed.
He leant forward and firmly, yet delicately placed hislips on Harry's, who didn't pull away. After they broke off, and caught theirbreath, Draco said "that was the best 20 seconds of my life", Harry slowly yetfirmly said "do you wanna go out sometime?" Draco huffed and said "thoughtyou'd never ask" Harry was still nervous, so he said "is that a yes" Dracoleant forward again and kissed Harry with more passion this time, pulled backand said "that confirmation enough?" Harry smiled and said "we still have topretend to hate each other, though." Dracowas startled but said "why?" Harry chuckled and said, "well, we can't just hateeach other for three years, not so straight and then be best friends thatquick. "that is the smartest thing you've ever said" Harry playfully punchedhis arm. They spoke for some time about nothing and then they kissed each othergoodnight
