Months had passed from the new year incident. Ginny was minorly pissed at Harry for not telling her about Draco and him being a thing. Ron's birthday was slowly approaching and Blaise had something important and awesome planned. Harry and Hermione were in on the plan of Blaise proposing to Ron in the Forbidden Forest. They decided that to skip dinner and spend their time there after school ends, so Harry, Hermione, Draco and Pansy had to give him their gifts in the morning.

Harry gave him all the Chudley Cannons merch he could buy, Hermione gave him a book of all Chudley Cannon players and all their matches in detail, Draco gave him a stuffed carrot which was enchanted to smell like one to remind him of his hair and Draco's pet name for him 'Carrot-Head', while Pansy gave him a stuffed ginger which she coated with Blaise's perfume and Charmed it to never run out. In the evening, after he left class, Blairon took their leave and went to the Forest for his birthday. Harry did all of Ron's homework and waited for him to come back. In the meantime, Romilda Vane came and gave him some cauldron cakes which smelt a lot like Draco. He thought about that until he remembered Hermione telling him that she would try to slip him some Love Potion. He kept them down and 'thanked' her and kept waiting until Ron came. When he came, a little past midnight, he told Harry about what happened and then 'subtly' showed of his ring finger. Harry smirked in triumph and controlled his squealing, while Ron reached for something next to his seat and took a bite out of it. Harry's eyes widened, but it was too late.

Ron had taken a bite and his eyes had a silver ring above them. He face-palmed himself and saw Ron's love for Blaise morph into his love for Romilda. Ah shit, he thought as Ron began rambling about her to Harry who thought about taking him to Professor Slughorn. He was very well aware that Slughorn was pissed at him, but he had to do it, to save Blaise from getting his heart broken. He said "let's go meet her then," he took Ron towards Slughorn's office and tried his hardest not to laugh as Ron started slowly whispering "Romlida?" to see if she would come out of her 'hiding spot'. When they reached there, he told Slughorn about the Potion and asked him to make the Antidote. It took him all his willpower to control himself when Ron fell off the couch and then came to hug Professor Slughorn. He watched Slughorn finish the Antidote and hand it to Ron who gulped it down in one chug. He praised the Lord (hallelujah!) when Ron's eyes turned their normal shade of blue.

 Slughorn then gave them some Oak Matured Mead, and then just as he wasabout to take a sip, Ron fell down and started wriggling as though he just tooksome Cyanide, minus the sudden death. The only thing Harry could think of was aBezoar, so he found one and saved Ron. They took him to the Hospital Wing, andset him down. Harry sat there all night with Ron never sleeping once. Wheneveryone was asleep and Hermione was there, he sent her to call Blaise, Pansyand Draco because he didn't want to leave Ron whatsoever. Granted, neither didHermione, but she went anyway. When they came, all three of them immediatelybroke down because Ron was a brother to Draco and Pansy and he was Blaise'sfiancée. Blaise ran up to Ron and hugged him like he never wanted to let go,while Draco and Pansy hugged and soothed Harry and Hermione. Draco was takenaside by Harry because Harry knew it was him, "when Isaid be more careful, I meant it, y'know?" Draco broke into Harry's armsand said "it was supposed to go to Dumbledore, I told Rosemerta to give itto someone who could give it to him, and she gave it to Slughorn, I'm sorryHarry, I really am," Harry soothed him and said "thankfully Bezoarsexist, also we need to tell them it was you," Draco was going to saysomething but Harry cut him off and said "Ron'll forgive you, he's aWeasley, okay?"

 They kissed and went back to the others and all huddled up to eachother,until Ron woke up. When he did, Blaise hugged him real tight and kissed himsoftly and kept asking if he was okay. Draco was scared but he had to tell themthe truth. Harry understood what was happening and so he intertwined theirfingers together and squeezed his hand as support. Draco explained hissituation while sitting on Harry's lap who kept whispering supportive things inhis ear. Draco looked at Ron in a look that was asking for forgiveness, whichhe was, and Ron just smiled at him and said "everyone here knows youdidn't mean to poison me, even if you did, you would've much earlier, we'vebeen best friends for two years and as you said you don't have an option,"Draco launched towards Ron and tackled him in a hug and cried on his shoulder.Ron just let him cry on his shoulder and patted his back soothingly. Dracocalmed himself and went back to Harry's lap. Harry wrapped his hands around Draco'swaist and pulled as close as possible. They sat there, Harry occasionallychecked the Map to see if anyone was coming and shrieked when he saw Lavendercoming towards the Hospital Wing. They stayed right there, and when she camethey looked at her and then looked back towards Ron and pretended that theynever saw her.
