xxxvi. their second anniversary

Harry and Draco were both very excited for tonight. Even though, the situations of their surroundings weren't the best, they still wanted one special day for themselves. They made their way through the day normally, as normal as it could be. Draco, Blaise and Pansy knew something was going to happen tonight, and they knew what so naturally Ron and Hermione knew as well. They were very excited for today and everyone could see it. Harry was freeking out and Ginny noticed during lunch and she said "what's got you all happy?" Harry tried to play it innocent and said "oh nothing," she understood that she wouldn't get anything out of him and so she let it go. Two minutes a beaming Hermione walked into the Great Hall and Harry thought he knew what happened. She sat in between Harry and Ron and said "guess what?" "No" they chorused, she gave them an annoyed huff and said "Pansy and I, we..." she didn't need to finish that sentence, because Harry's eyes widened and he whisper-yelled, "she fucked you?!" and then he let out a pretty soft but hearable high pitched squeal. Hermione and Ron giggled and Ron said "you're all for the tea aren't you?" Harry nodded and said "yuP" and then lunch continued normally until they saw Pansy walk in with a huge grin and winked at Hermione, who turned beet-red and started talking to Ron to cover it. He looked over at Draco who was in deep conversation with Blaise until Pansy whispered something in their ear and high-fived them. After lunch, when he reached DADA, a note was thrown to him which read:

We're not going to the Shack tonight. Meet me at the Entrance Hall.

He found the letter peculiar but didn't say anything.

*timeskip to 1am*

 Harrymet Draco in the Great Hall. Draco took Harry's hand and kissed his knuckles,which made Harry blush as red a tomato. He allowed Draco to lead towards theAstronomy Tower. Draco had Harry's hand intertwined in his and when theyreached there, he flung Harry towards himself and laid his hand on Harry'swaist and started leading him to an unknown tune, which be me known when heflicked his wand and a tune played which sounded a lot like 'Can't Help Fallingin Love' and Harry chuckled and said "don't drop me this time," Dracolaughed at the memory and said "I'll try not to, love," and Harryblushed. Draco led them slowly and calmly, while Harry thought about his giftfor Draco, they did buy eachother gifts but I didn't write about it so that youcould be surprised. The song got over and Draco flicked his wand once morebefore plopping down on the mattress he just conjured and pulled Harry withhim. Harry laid his head on Draco's lap and saw that Draco's face was showingnervousness, "what's wrong, Dray?" Draco smiled at him and said"nothing, I'm just nervous," Harry said "nervous aboutwhat?" Draco looked at him and said "fuck it," he took Harry'shand and pulled him up so that Harry could face him and said "listen,there's something you should know," Harry gulped and nodded "I'veloved you for two years out of the six I've known you, and I don't want to stoploving you, so, I want to ask you, Harry Potter," he stuck his hand in hispocket and pulled out a small red box and said "will you marry me?"

Harryhad tears in his eyes and basically jumped on Draco and said "yes!"they kissed slowly, the sparks from their first date still there. They pulledaway and Draco slid the finger on Harry's ring finger and said "you don'thave to take it off, y'know? Only those who know about us will be able to seeit," Harry kissed him again and said "now my present," he pulledout something from his pocket, a rectangular box and opened it. It had tworings, one with a snake engraved on it and the other one with a lion."It's a promise ring which is also charmed, you tap it with your wand andsay my name and then we can have a conversation from wherever at whatevertime." He slid it on Draco's left ring finger and Draco pulled out hiswand and muttered the same Charm he used for his engagement ring. They kissedfor a second until Draco pulled away and then Draco said "now your otherpresents," Harry's eyes widened and he said "other presents?"Draco smiled and removed two more things from his pocket.
