ix. The Second Task

*timeskip to the second task*

(A/N: we know what happens to Harry so this is happening in Draco's and Blaise's view)

Draco was worried for Harry. There was nothing else to say. He loved Harry and Harry lovedhim back. Harry was a little short on his temper and since no one knew aboutthem, Draco couldn't go and wish him luck. He saw Harry come (run) to the placein his robes and knew that he hadn't slept properly. He saw Blaise franticallysearching for Ron, and said "listen mate, you need to calm down,Granger isn't here either so they must be together lost or something."Blaise looked at him and said "what if something happened to him Draco?I mean like I'm worried about him and I mean really worried."Draco pulled Blaise into a hug, which Blaise melted into. 

That's when Harry choked on his Gillyweed and fell into thelake. Draco waited and held onto Blaise as he was having a panic attack whileBlaise just wailed. "Blaise?" "mm?" "Doyou love him?" Blaise nodded yes. Draco pulled him closer andwhispered "it's going to be okay. He's with Harry. Somehow theidiot always survives." Blaise snorted in his arm andthen looked at him and said "thanks Draco." They almost totallyforgot about Pansy's existence until she cleared her throat andsaid "Potter's here" she saw Draco snap his neck and then sheadded "with Weasley and the Beauxbaton's sister." Blaise snappedhis neck too and they were this close going and snogging theirboyfriends.

Pansy saw this and held them back. "You guys can't be seen together" they nodded but both of them knew that they wanted to go there. After the task, Blaise decided to tell Ron about his feelings. He cornered Ron talking to Granger and pulled him into an abandoned classroom.

Blaise locked the door while Ron was swearing because he didn't know what was happening and he shut up immediately when he saw Blaise. Blaise walked upto him and put his fingers through his hair and said "you have no idea how worried I was" and kissed Ron like he never wanted to let go. After a minute, he pulled away and said "there's something we need to talk about" Ron looked nervous and said "are you okay?" Blaise scoffed and replied "are all Weasley's like this?" Ron nodded yes and sat on a seat and said "so what's up?" Blaise took a deep breath and started "I've never said this to anyone but iloveyou." Ron's jaw dropped and the only thing his vocal chords could conjure was "why?" Blaise leant forward and said "because, you're amazing and you understand me and I just love you for you." Then Blaise kissed him so slowly that it seemed like time had just stopped y'know? Ron pulled away for a moment before saying "iloveyoutoo". 

Draco was so startled when he was suddenly gagged and dragged into a broom closet. He wentto pull out his wand but Harry locked the door and kissed him before he couldsay or do anything. "Missed me?" Harry mumbled. "Youdon't even know how much. Blaise had a panic attack because he couldn't findWeasley and now their probably snogging in an abandoned classroom." Harrysmiled and kissed him slowly while running his hand through Draco's hair. Dracohad gotten used to Harry running his hand through his hair but this privilegewas only for Harry. Draco kissed Harry softly and made his wayto Harry's jaw and planted small kisses and made his way down to Harry's neck. 

He kissed Harry's neck before stopping, looking him in the eye andsaying, "you know what? We should hang out with the others more ofteny'know?" Harry sighed and said "I was thinking the samething" Draco leant down and kissed him, until Harry pulled away andsaid "there's probably a party in Gryffindor tower right now. God, Iwish you could come." Draco pecked him on his lips andsaid "well, I could come but I'll get kicked out before I even stepthrough your portrait, know what I mean?" Harry slowly kissed his cheekand made his way out of the place to the Tower. When Harry reached there he wasgreeted by everyone but the party was missing just two people-Draco and Sirius. 

He partied till he was too tired and then made his way to bed after telling Ron and Hermione about hanging out more with Draco and the others'. Ron spoke up about how Blaise told him he loves him and how Ron told him he loved him back before Neville came in and they decided to go to sleep. Harry grinned so proudly at Ron for finally finding someone for himself. They went to sleep that night with the stress of the second task gone and the weight of the third task coming in slowly.
