lxii. adoption

*timeskip to a week later*

Harry and Draco met with their friends constantly and decided their careers. Harry and Draco were joining the DMLE, while Ron got an offer from Kingsley to be an Auror, which he accepted, Blaise got a job interview at Mungo's when a Healer, named Ida Partridge saw him pull off some complicated spells, Pansy decided that she'd like to be an Unspeakable. Hermione wanted to get her NEWTs, so Professor McGonagall allowed her to return for another year.

Harry and Draco constantly had nightmares. The worst one was when Draco almost died when Harry used a Sectumsempra and Draco almost died and he married Ginny and had three children, while Draco married Astoria and had one son. Right now, both Harry and Draco tried constantly to make the other happier and always cuddled and Harry always took his naps with Teddy sleeping on his chest, something which physically melted Draco. Remus and Sirius had taken a week off and gone away leaving Draco, Harry and Teddy alone, something which Harry enjoyed greatly. It was what they'd feel when they were living in a beautiful cottage in Hogsmeade. Bliss.

The next night, as Harry was sliding onto bed, after setting the alarm in Teddys room, he slid closer to Draco's shirtless form and kissed his shoulder. He took off his rubber band and said "we need to talk," Draco rubbed Harry's hand and set his book down and said "what's wrong, love?" Harry bushed and said "nothing's wrong, it's just... remember that one night in fifth year? when you said you'd like to marry me?" Draco nodded and Harry forgot his point and said "well... I was thinking about that night and I think we should wait a little before we get married, settle down, stabilise our jobs, help Papa with moons, get accustomed to that, y'know?" Draco nodded and said "I know. As much as I love you, I'm not ready to get married at eighteen, and we do need to get accustomed to life outside of Hogwarts, you're right," he paused and said "but... I'd also like to formally propose to you, in front of people, in public, with a big crowd of people we know and love," Harry cupped Draco's cheek and said "of course, anything to make you happy, and for ogling people to get off my back,"

They laughed and Draco leaned in and kissed Harry, with his hands entangled in Harry's hair. He pulled away and then he placed a soft kiss at Harry's neck, he sucked and nipped, motions which made Harry very fluffed up and frankly turned on. Draco obviously left a mark and said "there. now people know you're mine," Harry smiled and said "until the very end," they kissed again and just as things were about to escalate, Teddy's alarm rang. "Fuck," the two muttered as they went to tend to Teddy's room, to find a crying baby. Harry rushed and picked him up and said "aw baby, don't cry. It's okay, Dray and I are right here, darl," Harry kissed Teddy's forehead and bounced him up and down. Ten minutes later, he set Teddy down and just as he was about to leave, Teddy started crying again. Harry picked him up and said "come on, hun," and he hoisted Teddy onto his hip and carried him to his and Draco's room, with a melted Draco.

He put Teddy to sleep and looked at Draco and said "there go our plans," Draco snorted and said "don't worry about that," he stroked Harry's cheek with his finger tips, sending shivers down Harry's spine, he smiled and said "you'll be an amazing father, love," Harry blushed and said "so will you, I have no doubt," he kissed Draco and said "we better go to sleep, Sirius and Remus return tomorrow, I think they'd like a nice, peaceful house while they're in their vacation high," Draco kissed Harry one last time and said "goodnight love," Harry blushed, as usual and said "'night,"

Harry woke up early and found Teddy curled up to Draco's side and Draco had a protective, yet delicately placed arm around the baby. He woke up and went to make pancakes and baby food, he began the process and ten minutes Draco came down and placed his arms around Harry's waist and said "morning, love," and kissed the back of Harry's neck. Harry giggled and decided to fuck with Draco for a second or two. He lightly and subtly ground his hips against Draco and said "morning," as he slowly increased the intensity of his grinding. He felt Draco's breath hitch as he understood what Harry was doing. He calmly let his fingers run under Harry's jumper. Harry kept grinding and slowly felt Draco get harder and harder. Draco's hand went lower and just as it reached Harry's waistband and Harry turned around and said "go wake Teddy, I'll fry the pancakes," Draco looked furious and Harry started the pan putting in the butter. Draco stormed upstairs, cursing under his breath. Harry smirked as he started making breakfast.

The Floo roared as Blaise and Ron came through and then it roared again and Pansy and Hermione came in. Ten seconds later, Ginny and Luna came in. And after ten more, Neville and his new girlfriend, Hannah Abbott came in. "have any extra breakfast?" Harry rolled and told them to pick up a chair and sit. They sat as he made more batter. He made everyone two pancakes. A grumpy Draco came down, with Teddy, who tried relentlessly to play with his hair. Harry broke down, watching Draco's hair being messed with by someone other than Harry and Narcissa. Draco glared at him and looked at Teddy and said "there there, halfling," and set him down on his special chair as Harry made him water bubbles. Harry kissed his forehead and Draco did the same before holding onto Harry's shoulder and uttering "fucking tease," Harry's eyes widened and he whispered back, "you better not have jacked-off before touching my brother," Draco made a face and said "maybe... but I washed my hand," Harry rolled his eyes and served everyone and then set out the toppings.

Everyone ate gleefully as he fed Teddy his food. He finished and cleaned Teddy's mouth as he began eating his breakfast, while Blaise took Teddy and started playing with him. After two minutes of that, Ron completely lost interest in the conversation and started watching Blaise play with Teddy on the ground. He completely dissolved into the scene and everyone noticed, including Teddy. The Floo roared and Sirius and Remus walked in. they wiped off the dust and Sirius said "didn't know there'd be a welcome party," and did a hair-flip, Draco rolled his eyes and said "it was for Remus," as Remus went and picked up his son. They laughed as Sirius said "you wound me, Draco Malfoy," Harry went to the kitchen cabinet and pulled out some butterbeer. He poured everyone a glass and sat down as Remus and Sirius gave them a blow-by-blow of their trip. Excluding the not suitable for children part, although they did drop a lot of innuendos. Everyone left after an hour, leaving Harry, Draco and Teddy alone with Sirius and Remus.

"Right," said Remus, "before we reached we went to the Ministry and picked up these," he pulled out the papers from his pockets and it said:

Sirius clapped his back and said "your officially ours now, son," Harry smiled and exchanged hugs and kisses with everyone. He tickled Teddy's stomach and he giggled and changed his hair to bright purple and then back.

That night Harry and Draco picked up where they left off, with a lot of moaning on both sides.
