It was few days after their successful mission on saving the people from the bank. The siblings were hanging out with each other waiting for their mum to call them for lunch.

(Y/n), Vanya and Five were in (y/n)'s room listening to a new melody Vanya learned to play on her violin. If there was something Vanya was good at was playing violin.

Five and (y/n) clapped when Vanya finished. (Y/n) went even as far as to give the girl standing ovation. This made Vanya giggle and dramatically bow.

"Thank you. Thank you." She repeated smiling at the two of her closest friends.

Vanya was the closest to Five and (y/n) out of all the other siblings. They didn't judge her for not being special and she was very glad for that.

Suddenly, they heard a little bell signalising lunch was ready. They all rushed downstairs and stood in front of their seats waiting for their father to appear.

As soon as he did he told them to sit and they started to eat.

The table was always silent, as they listened to whoever their father wanted to listen to. There was no pleasant chatter just the sound of the cutlery clinking against the plates.

Five was looking at their dad in irritation. Everyone was too busy eating to notice Five's aura but (y/n) did and she looked at him in confusion.

Five then proceed to take the butterknife that was laying on the side of his plate and stabbed it on the table creating lots of noise. This got everyone's attention at the table.

"Number 5?"

"I have a question." Five let go of the knife and folded his arms in front of him.

"Knowledge is an admirable goal, but you know the rules." Reginald started. "No talking during mealtimes. You are interrupting Herr Carlson." He pointed his knife towards the phonograph.

Five pushed away his plate. "I want to time travel."

(Y/n) looked at Five wide eyed. This was not a good idea, not now anyways. (Y/n) mouthed stop it to Five but he just ignored her.

"No." Reginald flatly responded.

"But I'm ready. I've been practicing spacial jumps just like you said. Look." Five said as he space jumped to stand right next to their father. "See?"

"Special jump is trivial when compared with the unknown of time travel." Reginald started to explain. "One is like sliding along the ice, the other is akin to descending blindly into the depth of the freezing water and reappearing as an acorn."

(Y/n) understood what their dad meant by that and she started to get more and more worried about Five and what he might do.

Five lightly scoffed. "Well, I don't get it."

"Hence the reason you're not ready." He then looked at Five and then back at his food.

Five looked at (y/n) and she looked at him begging him to just drop it and come back to sit next to her please sit back down.

Five looked back at their dad.

"I'm not afraid." Five pressed on.

"Fear isn't the issue. The effects it might have on your body, even on your mind, are far too unpredictable." Reginald then dropped his cutlery and looked at Five. "I forbid you to talk about this anymore."

Five looked at their father in anger and stormed out of the door.

"Number 5!" Reginald called after him.
